Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

&Kairos

Kairos –0 years old –Stella X Elijah - female – – no mate – no imprint

Kairos was still blissfully ignorant of her place in the world. She did not yet understand what had caused the milk-giver to uproot their little family once more, but it bothered her not at all. She had not the depth of character to become sentimentally attached to anything and, as such, had uttered nary a word of protest when the darkened female led herself and her siblings from the plains pack. Instead, she used it as an excuse to feed her insatiable curiosity, galloping just beside her dam on short legs, dark eyes either fixed firmly upon Zagan who dangled above her head, or plastered to the scenery that raced by them in a blur. She had no time for the ones behind her, the protector and her remaining two brothers little more than pleasant additions to her existence that could be easily replaced. She was too young yet to understand it, but she had transcended the needs and desires of normal wolf kind and, although not governed by instinct, she followed every whim as though it gifted no argument. If a higher intellect had at that moment summed up her personality, they would have compared her to a goddess – one who had decided to become mortal for the sheer fun of it and was therefore free to do whatever she damn well pleased. A very fitting description indeed, considering her blood ran thick with the genes of both the furians and the demons.

The cool scent of clay hit the young one's muzzle and she squinted into the distance, enchanted and excited by the sight of great rocks clawing their way into the sky. The milk-giver seemed not to notice this new development, and her confidence infected the little black, white and red she-pup so that she was soon loping ahead of the family, forgetting them in her haste. Only when she finally reached the shadows that pooled about the base of the cliffs did she stop, panting heavily. The sun beat down outside her circle of darkness and she had to narrow her eyes against the glare as she was joined by the rest of her accomplices. No doubt tired from her burden, the feeder wolf let Zagan sprawl to the earth, and Kairos bounced up to him and licked him shyly on the muzzle, looking into his purple eyes with a fondness that surpassed the natural love between siblings. If their parents noticed, however, they didn't seem to care and when the little bitch turned back to her dam she was already half-way up the rock face, showing the young ones just how to place their paws so that they wouldn't slip. Glancing competitively at Illias and Castiel, Kairos launched herself at the scree face, gripping with her claws while she struggled to pull herself upwards. The sun, meanwhile, continued to glower onto her back, and she was huffing noisily by the time she reached half-way. Her lesser size definitely set her at a disadvantage against the others, and what she made up for in speed and power she lacked in endurance. It showed as she struggled along, although it was all too clear that she was hardly focusing on the task at hand anyway. Instead, she was eating up her surroundings with ever-hungry eyes, peering at the sky and the lands below her in undisguised wonder. To an onlooker, it may have seemed like a childish display of inconstancy, but there was a method to her madness and, when she was grown, her pursuit of knowledge would set her above and beyond the rest of her kind. Until that day came, however, she would be noted as nothing but a member of a loose unit of killers, too mediocre to be held in high esteem.

From hence, ye beauties, undeceived, know, one false step is ne'er retrieved, and be with caution bold. Not all that tempts your wand'ring eyes, and heedless hearts is lawful prize;
not all that glisters, gold.
