PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

when feasible one should always eat the rude

The pale stallion was unaware for quite some time that he was being watched by the young filly. It wouldn't have affected him, really, had he known that he had become a spectacle. As a curious creature himself, Hannibal would appreciate the girl's intellectual wanderings (as well as her physical meanderings). There had been many times in the stallion's life where he had done things simply to see what repercussions would occur. They hadn't always been pleasant, more often than not they were wildly un pleasant, but nonetheless they had enthralled him and made their own special, safe corner in his memory palace.

He became aware of the filly slowly, his ears first picking up the subtle thud-thud-thud of her hooves on the spongey turf of the hillside as she descended toward him. Turning his face uphill, the stallion fixed his maroon gaze on the filly and patiently waited as she continued to make her way toward him. This time, unlike the filly he had stumbled on in his first days on the islands, she reminds him of no one. There was no shivering awareness sweeping over his spine, no crawling panic in his gullet, only his regular, detached curiosity.

"Hello," he replied warmly, "Yes, I suppose we aren't, are we?" He smiled then, following the drop of her gaze to the dark splotch on his shoulder and throat. Her question surprised a chuckle from him as he shook his head. "No, a mere derangement of the flesh, my dear, nothing sinister... tell me, why are you all alone on this fine morning?"
