No one person is running rampant. The sanctioning document was created by the board and everyone had input. There is a ton of misinformation out there and a few people bent on feeding that. There were 70 plus races last year and it is growing. Hard to maintain. Safety at some races was a factor as well as quality of some of the races were slipping. All changes were made to improve the club. I know it is hard not seeing a full calendar. We have been working with Athletics PEI and Athletics Canada to develop the sanctioning document and it is something that is being required across the country for road racing. AC reviewed our document before we released it.
I have no problem calling a special general meeting to hash things out. If other people will step up, fill board positions and run the club, and if people are not happy with my leadership I can step down right away.
