Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

We laughed at fate and mourned her;

Perhaps the reason why the grounds were so silent was due to the fact that some of the most sinister creatures resided within their own protected sanctuary. Tonight though one of the residents, the leader in fact, was out on her own midnight stroll. The sound of silence was quite pleasing to her. Quiet paws carried her healing battered form across the dense woodlands. It had been awhile since she had ventured out from her new made home, but she was in need to stretch her limbs. She was searching, silently observing the other loners, deciding whether or not she would want them to join her. They didn’t have to be like her or Tobias. She already had a male that was constantly afraid of them, and yet, there was potential and she was willing to find that drive in him and pull it out of him. Weakness was not something she or her counterpart could tolerate. It was not in their nature. Unlike some of the lupine within Moladion she and her kind actually preyed on the weak – even if they were a fellow wolf. Mother Nature made them predators, but perhaps something within their mind or DNA made them more…special. In the herd of white-tail deer the sickly and weakly members slowed down the herd and it was best to pick them off one by one so that only the strongest can endure and breed. Just like the herd of white-tail deer the same method could be used on caribou, bison, or in this case the most sacrilege of all – wolves. Not everyone in her pack would be like them, but whatever quirk they had, whatever it was that made them an oddity or an outcast among their own kind – all would be welcomed.

She had yet to come across a worthy candidate. Though she did not see this walk as a failure. Rather she was enjoying the rare solitude. It was the scent of death that caught her attention. Silently she would shift her form in that direction taking her stroll in a casual manner. Eventually she would come across the multi-colored latte and copper male gorging in on an old and dead prey. For a moment she would grow still and observe silently. She was to his south, her scent untraceable in this positon, and she was only a few feet behind him. His tail waved side to side in an energetic behavior and the way he tore through the deaden flesh made her wonder if he hadn’t had a decent meal in a while. Her head would lift slightly to catch his scent, he was young growing into her prime, and she could see the strong healthy muscle that rippled underneath his pelt. She would move herself to the right and eventually make it to his peripheral vision, her obsidian frame moving in a slow and non-threatening manner. Eventually she would make her way to his front, her distance far from his meal, her eyes focused on him. His meal was of no interest to her. Dark azure eyes would narrow slightly as she eerily stood there silently, an aura of dominance was present, but it was not obnoxious. As she stood there she would remain silent allowing him to either continue with his meal or look over her scarred form. Her jaws would part as her cool tone poured smoothly from her bloodstained lips.

“Would you rather continue eating the old corpse or would you prefer fresh meat?”
