Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

I would never get used to this climb. It actually seemed higher than the last time, tongue lolling from my lips in a heavy pant as I leapt the last few feet upwards. Apparently I was in need of some training, or at least a bit of a fitness workout. I paused a moment atop the mountain, violet gold eyes moving to peer out and across the rest of Moladion, taking in the sweeping plains and ridges and forests of the free lands. It was a nice view I suppose, not really my kind of land but then again- I think you could learn to love something, after all, it wasn’t really the land that mattered in the end- as Queen Isola said- it was those who stood there with you on it. I allowed the smallest of simpers to grace my lips before I turned to proceed into the pack land once more, assured none would turn me away even with the scent of Diveen upon me. I was friends with others here, I had family here and for now that was surely enough. After all, I was hardly on pack business, I was on a more personal route this time. I knew who I needed to find, knew exactly who I needed to speak too- Heyel had been entirely clear on that and while I wasn’t sure I understood why I was hardly going to question his orders. She had a purpose, a meaning and that was all I needed to know. In what was to come she would be critical in that. I hoped she was still here- maybe she had gone to the free lands with her friend Sabriel. He had seemed nice enough when I met him, bit of a temper but wolves seem to have tempers a lot these days. Maybe it’s the lack of good prey in the loner lands, or that lack of safety that comes from having no pack- I can hardly say. They all seem a little cranky. If Micteca had left for the free lands though I was going to have a hell of a job finding her.

It was merely by luck I suppose that I managed to catch her scent, I knew it, from Diveen though I had hardly had much to do with her until now and really I found myself almost a little curious to see who this wolf really was that Heyel had spoken of with such fondness. I think he must have loved her, he called her a daughter after all, the same way he called Ava such a thing even though I knew no blood existed between them. I never really understood the adoption thing but hey, maybe it pays off in the end to have family so far reaching and by blood or by bond it is surely all the same. I saw her then, a wolfess so little! I was not yet full grown and yet she was truly not much bigger then myself. Surely….this could not be the special wolf grandfather had spoken off?! She looked almost like a child! I merely allowed myself to stare a moment, surprised by such a creature before shaking the though away. If she had been chosen all those years ago then surely there was a reason for it- one I am hardly going to judge in this moment. I released a bark, calling to her, looking to get her attention before I loped forward- white and silver pelt aglow.

“Micteca? You are Micteca aren’t you?”

I was almost sure she was and yet I offered her a moment to argue otherwise, lips pulling back into a grin before I moved to extend my muzzle forward in the greeting of Angels that our family has always held- holding it to her own a moment before pulling back.

“You may not know me, I am Hyrule, of Neveah and Orion, grandson to Heyel and Zen.”

I paused, waiting once more for her mind to find understanding in that which I offered her before allowing myself to sit, one limb folding over the other in a well-ingrained habit that surely made me look at least a little old as I regarded her- red ears flicking lightly, assuring where we entirely alone before I spoke again in the language I knew well she would understand.

“Ego veni primum proloquar, auxiliator tuus Micteca res nesscarily non mutantur in melius. Heyel mihi imperavi, ne tu locutus est de legibus, de sicariis, et ipse dixit custos horum quaedam nobis opus quod scientia est. ... Numero sumus, ut videret si est sufficere alloqui velim, ut et in tempore a vobis discere. Est autem sciendum plura priusquam mun- ... ut auxiliemini mihi restituere vellet paululum it- ut lets mundi appellant.”
(I have come to ask for your help, Micteca, things are changing and not necessarily for the better. Heyel told me, once, that he spoke to you about laws, about assassins, he said you were a Keeper of these things and there are some of us in need of that knowledge again. We are a...small group, just big enough but if you would consider it I would like to speak with you, to learn from you so I might teach them in time. There is much to say but I must know, before I do- that you would be willing to help me...restore a little, lets call it- order to the world.)

I grinned once more, violet eyes resting against her own- unaware in that moment of how very much like my grandfather I surely looked as I whispered such things to her. Maybe she would help, maybe she wouldn’t. I could only ask after all- but Heyel had spoken of her and surely there was a reason for that. I had to believe there was.
