Main Event Invades Midvale Friday Night for Downtown Ford 100

This Friday, July 3rd, the Main Event Racing Series will take to the Midvale Speedway for the Downtown Ford 100. Alex Rosenberry looks to defend his win from a year ago aboard the Rosenberry Towing/FliteTest #2, but he will have to hold off defending MERS champion Harold Fair Jr. in the #71 Royal Truck and Trailer machine as well as two time Main Event champion Bud Perry in the #10 Keyhole Pizza entry.

Perry was the winner of the latest Main Event race at Midvale on Labor Day weekend in 2014, so he will be another car to watch as the fendered mayhem unravels around the tight three-tenths mile automobile racing facility.

Jeff Ganus in the Brian Short owned #18 will be another racer in search of the checkered flag this weekend after coming off two wins at Dixie and Sandusky in the month of June. Ganus was running second in the September MERS race at the New Philadephia, Ohio facility as his car broke with thirteen laps to go. Other drivers who will be in attendance include Dave Stehouwer, John Flynn, and John Sandquist Jr. If rain interrupts Friday�s events, this race will be run on Saturday in conjunction with the speedway�s modifieds, street stocks, and mini trucks. The Main Event Racing Series is the premiere outlaw super late model series in the Midwest. The tour is known for attracting some of the best drivers and teams from Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.
