At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.
As she looked out onto the lake, memories seeped into her mind. Her childhood, all her murders, and all the things she had seemed to forget.
My mother told me she was raped to birth me. Same with my older sister, Porrim. My family was one of blood drinkers; we mainly ate other wolves, as the area we lived in was very scarce when it came to normal prey. So, wolf was our only source. When Karkat and Kankri were brought into our family, as their father had died, life seemed a bit better, but it took a bit more effort to care for them. They didn't eat wolf, and refused to. So we hunted often for them. But soon, Kankri had died from starvation, as he always let his little brother eat. Karkat and I were the best of friends, but then he had passed. He was coughing up a lot of blood, and, well, that wasn't a pleasant sight.
After that incident, I was old enough to live on my own. I left my mother and older sister for newer and brighter lands. My meals then varied, finding all kinds of meat good, and I had learned some healing tricks. But all those wolves I killed had some special burial. I threw a brown brute into the ocean. I burned a blonde titan in a fire. I buried a ivory spotted lass in a hole, giving her a proper burial.
Kanaya's thoughts were interrupted when a brute approached her. ”Such a lovely day, ma’lady.” Kan turned her head towards the brute who spoke, her slate face chiseled with a smile. A nod was given from the alphess of Spring Grounds. Her one emerald orb locked onto his face. The other was non functional and quite the mess, as teeth went through it, so that eye was closed. The ebony brute spoke again. ”My name is Elijah. May I enquire as to your title?”
The mainly black ess happily answered Elijah's question. "I am Kanaya, It's nice to meet you." Kan veered away from saying she was an alpha, as this brute could of been from an opposing pack. The ebony and ivory brute beside her had no scent of a pack, but to just be safe.
