It was foolish of myself perhaps, to believe that Aithne would know well the look of Heyel. I had grown within a time in which all knew his name, his mark, his features and perhaps in this moment I was given to fluster myself so as to forget that others were young…younger then myself and within these last month’s Heyel had become content to recline within the sun atop his rock within Diveen, to stay within the pack and to venture less as he once had. That Aithne did not well know his look should surely have been within my mind and yet in this moment I found my thoughts conflicted and tangled so that each seemed to run with the next. I was fearful perhaps, though determined to keep such emotion at bay within the mountain peaks and before my family, less so concerned that another unrelated should see it. I have been strong perhaps….for too long, contained such emotion within myself simply because that is the way of Queen.

I was taught as such, have lived as such, have understood for years most long that always pack is first, always, before all other things and as such perhaps there is much within myself I have not allowed myself to feel nor think on too deeply, for never should I allow such weakness to be seen by my pack most loved. To show weakness, to crumble, to break before them is a thing most unacceptable. A leader must not do these things, must not be seen to falter and as such I had not……for so very long. Yet I cannot be as such without him, I cannot be content until my Heyel is with me once more and I assured, I am, that he has simply become lost within the lands of the free else wandered within another pack, my ears held forward in this moment to capture the words of Aithne as she offers them. Only to feel a tightness within my chest once more, a tightness most oppressive though I allow not the tears to find place within my gaze as I look upon her, clinging most desperately perhaps, to those parts of myself that seem so very sure to fracture.

“He is being most white, there is being no Mark of Angel upon him with eyes as my own, taller them myself, heavier he is most aged near twenty five years.”

It was an age most impressive, for truly few have ever reached such a mark though I knew perhaps he took little pride in such a thing and complained only of that which pained him- though never truly, did he speak of what he once was though I am most assured within his mind he felt it still, regretted such things, desired that which he could no longer hold. Perhaps it mattered not in these moments, for I was assured I simply must find him now that it was so my pack was most safe, my gaze turned slightly from her own as she spoke only of his lack within these lands.

“Heyel does not know of the pack, he is not being seen since before the battle. He is not leaving pack in nearly one year, why he would be leaving and where he would be going I do not know, but he did not return after battle is ending, he did not go back to Diveen but he did not come to Spirane or Taviora and I am knowing most surely he is not within Asteraia….perhaps Glorall I….I do not know…..he cannot see Aithne, he cannot see……”

The worry within my voice was surely most clear in these moments though I struggled most surely still to keep it from being most loud as my eyes sought her own once more.

“I is thinking perhaps he is going back to Diveen, for he is not knowing of pack, he does not know still but…..I have those who is staying in Diveen to be watching it for me…..for us…and they is saying he has not come back.”

I cared not in this time for the matter of packs nor politics, for pack does not matter in this moment, pack is safe- for pack is far more then land and those whom is being most important to myself is cared for…all but one.

“He is being oldest wolf in all these lands, Aithne. If you is seeing him, please….please be letting me know or keeping him most safe until it is one of us is coming for him.”

Us. Angels. One of us would come for him, our patriarch, father and grandfather and great grandfather to so many.

“I is having many wolves searching but you will be telling me, yes, if you is seeing him? I is returning favour to you if you is wanting- one day.”
