Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

The brute knew when he agreed to take over as alpha of Bright Moon that it was not going to be easy, nor would it always be fun. He had thought it looked easy when he was just a pack member. When he wasn’t the alpha he always had a choice of what he wanted to do. Darcia had called meetings and Summer could always have chosen not to go, could have chosen to leave or miss a meeting if he felt the need to. When Darcia asked who wanted to volunteer to go to packs and make an alliance on his behalf, he was not obligated to offer his help and travel to another pack. When there were strangers at the borders of the pack that he was a part of, but not the leader of, he did not need to investigate and greet them on the alpha’s behalf. The brute could have chosen to never do anything, he could have been a selfish bystander that wanted the protection of a pack without doing much for the pack. But that was not the type of lupine eh had been raised to be. He wanted to help the pack. Whenever he had heard the call for a pack meeting, he would get excited to see his pack mates and do what he could to help protect them and make everyone feel like it was a home they were living in. The brujo had always leapt at the opportunity to go out on missions on behalf of the pack and to greet those that had wandered into the pack, whether on purpose or by accident.

But now things were different. Summer still loved what he did, but now it was a job, a responsibility, and not something that he would say no to. If something went wrong in the pack, it was now on him. If someone was in danger or in trouble, then it was his responsibility to help them and protect them from whatever demons were haunting them. Calling pack meetings was now his responsibility and not something that he now just had to attend, he had to call the attendance. Instead of greeting newcomers to the pack, he had to choose whether to accept them into the pack or tell them they were not welcome. So far that had been easy, he had not had anyone that was dangerous to his pack and so everyone he had encounter he had happily accepted into his pack. The brute was in charge of diving out tasks to his pack members, deciding who was going to be in charge of doing what and going out to make alliances, now on his behalf instead of him going on an alpha’s behalf. He held a strong pride for the pack that he had been given the task of leading, even though it may not be a large pack. The lupines in it were loyal, and he trusted them, they were his friends, his family.

And now one his members needed his help. Even if one did not come out of their way to ask for his help, if he found someone that may need him he would not hesitate to approach them and do all that he could for them. Summer found Amalthea in what appeared to be a vulnerable position, and he knew that the femme was shy and often frightened and didn’t want to make things worse for her, but he also knew that he could not leave her on her own. When he spoke to her, she flinched, as she often did when she was around other lupines. He felt bad scaring her, but he needed to make sure that she was okay, and that required speaking with her. As he approached her to ask if she was okay he saw her plume wrap around her paws, and since she did not ask him not to approach and did not back away from him he continued to head over to her, at a normal pace now instead of the slower one that he had been using.

After he asked if she was alright, an obviously pained expression appeared on her facial features before she turned her head away from him. He felt bad that he had made her remember something painful, and he did not want to make things worse for her. After a few moments of silence, silence that Summer did not want to break by pushing her to speak when she was not ready, her lilac orbs finally looked back over to him, though she was looking at his paws. Her gaze slowly made its way up his bodice, but right before she could reach his face, where his own yellow orbs looked on in confusion and concern, she quickly turned her attention away before finally speaking up. “It is but something I must acknowledge ownership of to the past. There is nothing else of it. It is simply what it is, and is not a burden heavy enough to be thought of sharing.” Her orbs were closed as she continued to speak to him, a longer speech than he was used to hearing from her, but glad that she was speaking to him. “Yours however, rendered you vulnerable at the territory line. I am sorry that I was not brave enough to stand by your side when this occurred.”

Summer listened to her words, wanting to know what was bothering her but not wanting to push her and make things worse. Her last words confused him for a moment, not sure what she was referring to right away. After he remembered the last time he was at the borders with Thea he remembered it was when he saw Grey Wind again. He thought that he had been composed and not given away too much around so many other vargs, especially around another alpha. He had not meant to appear weak, and then he felt ashamed that he had not obviously not been able to control his emotions. ”Thea, I will not push you to tell me something that you are not comfortable with, but whatever it may be that is bothering you, nothing is too small a burden to tell a friend, and I hope that you will come to trust me as a friend.” He gave her a genuine and warm smile, in hopes that if she wished to speak more of the issue that she would trust him enough to do so. ”Are you referring to when Grey Wind and Kershov were at the borders? You have no reason at all to apologize, Amalthea. I am the one who needs to apologize for not keeping my emotions under better control.” The brute looked embarrassed after he apologized for his actions, hoping that she would realize that she had nothing to apologize for. His paws shuffled awkwardly for a moment before sitting down, waiting to see what she would say.
