Lex may not be a cannibal, but to some the things she condoned could be considered worse. To set her children on one another to the death was one such thing, but it was to ensure that the strongest of them survived and had the skills to fight off others. It was unfortunate for her that her own siblings had already perished before she was able to fight them, but those days had been hard, and in the end she had been the only one to survive. She had been the strongest to get this far. It was the same end result, and thus she feels that this had to be the right path for her. That it was right to keep going like this.

It was interesting to see the age of the other wolf mostly in the limp and left eye didn't look focused, the scars that littered the male's body and the graying on the muzzle. It was often the first thing to gray on a dark colored wolf as they aged. Lex could only assume that this malke had seen some shit in his time. She would probably be able to outrun him if nothing more; she was smaller and sleek without a limp. Still, she wasn't going to jump to conclusions just yet. There were possiblities when it came to older males. Namely the fact that they had survived that long at all. It often indicated strength, and that was not a bad thing.

When it comes down to it, the movements the male takes before flopping down eases her nerves enough not to be totally on edge. She would not stop being cautious, as that was part of survival, but it did not appear as if the male would outright attack her. Plus, with him laying down, she had ample time to get away if need be. If not, well, she could probably call Raptor to her side to help drive him away. She had options, and she had her reasons for keeping Raptor close to herself still. This was one such reason; safety in numbers where it was needed. Raptor was already taller than her as it was.

When the male spoke, Lex gives him a considering look before cocking her head towards the northeast of where they now were. "There's a water source northeast of here. Go through a tall field to reach it." The words were grumbly and rasped; the first she had spoken in so very long. It even sounded strange to her ears, but it was an answer given. She noted that his scent was not familiar to Moladion, it held an outside scent thick to his pelt. Someone else who had recently arrived here, then. The question had made her more sure of this fact, though.
