He was going to his imprint because.. because maybe she could help fill the void he had been feeling recently. If only to be close to her and hear her voice, perhaps he could put behind him the awful things that had happened recently. That was what he was hoping for, anyway. He had no idea if that would be how things ended up, or if he might actually feel worse. It was true enough that it hurt in a way to return back to Spirane, but this time there was another purpose. To check in on the female to whom his soul was bound, and to see if just being near her could help him forget his woes.

Sabriel had never intended it to be like this, to bother Anemone at all for any reason, and he still held to what he said, that she could do as she liked and he would try not to bother her, but.. today he hoped that she would at least let him linger around. He knows it might be a lot to ask, but he was hurting, and he wasn't sure if she knew that, if she could feel it in some small way like the way he could feel her pain. Of course for him it had been strong enough to really mess with his head when she had given birth, but he had no way of knowing what it might be like on her end.

And if she did feel something, he kind of owed it to her to tell her what was up, right? Just so she was aware? Sabriel honestly did not know the ins and outs of this imprint thing enough to understand how to deal with all of these things. He was just feeling along in it and going from there. If Anemone wanted him to go away, then he would, but he would go to her now and see what her verdict was. Yes, he maybe should have waited on the borders, but that wasn't how he managed this sort of thing. Instead, he went to where her den had been when she had given birth and called out for her.
