The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Patchwork of light glittered in through needles of pine, the warmth of the sun faltering to break through the intense canopy of coniferous. The scent of pine was almost overbearing, accompanied by an earthy smell of ferns as well as thistles and mountain flowers. Mink traced her steps carefully among the grass, the wavy tendons grabbing at her ink-colored legs and making them itch. Carefully, her white bodice angled her way along the trails that she had memorized. Her steps were traced in numbers, and each turn had an assignment. Scents changed with the incoming seasons, snow and rain masking or strengthening the scent of a bush or bramble. Her time in Andere had mostly been quiet. She had been too busy wandering around to start conversations with other wolves in the area. However, in her defense, finding wolves within the area in the last couple of months had been limiting to her fancy. It was probably about time that it occurred anyway. And not a time too soon a howl thundered into the air.

In fact, it made the female’s ears shudder. In influenced hearing had been her most needed too since her eyes had failed. Blindness had guided her since before she had fully fledged. Hearing had started to take a toll on what she was able to do. Smell had also influenced, but not to the capacity on which she was able to hear. Unable to find her way from where she was, Mink made her way back to the nearest trail and began to move her way to the sound of where the pack meeting had been called. Funny as it was, Mink had not come across the scent of Cade for a very long time now, and as she came closer to her destination she was bombarded by the scent of males, with another scent of a female. She recognised a few of them, two always being accompanied by each other, another that she only knew from the last pack meeting, and another. Her eyebrows pursed atop her pale white gazers, knowing the scent she had not encountered in awhile. But she faced the direction of the one wolf, bowing her head and tucking her tail beneath her legs. Her voice trailed out in a soft and lyrical manner “My name is Mink. I have been here only a short while since the time of Cade, but should you have me once more, I will gladly aid you and Andere in every way that I can.”

That way was healing, as it was one of the only ways in which she could work with her condition. Nodding and moving away towards the edges, she made her way to the opposite side of NeMO. Though, as he was looking to have his conversation directed to the other male, she sat a larger distance away from him, nodding as she walked past with a smile. Darkness clouded her vision and she took a seat, calmly waiting and ears listening to the chatter that resonated throughout the small clearing.
