The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

HiDE FROM YOUR FAMiLY
A fly trapped in a jar. That’s what he’s become. He’d break free of that soon, shatter the glass, get going on the things that needed to be halted or needed to be stopped but now… now was something different. There’s something under the surface that drives him nearly mad. He loves it. He loves the madness. Embraces it. Grabs it by the horns and hangs a ride. That’s all he can do anymore. Ride the wave until the wave rides him into the ground. He loves it. He always will.

Dimitri can see the handsome creature from what seems like a long way off, but it probably isn’t. A screwed up case for distance is something that he can allow to become a part of the field of the things that have become him. It’s brilliant. It’s grand. Dimitri feels like he’s got it under control and he’s trying so hard, but… but what’s the point? Why does he need to keep it contained? Yes, the creature comes closer and he peers over with his brilliant technicolor gaze. The illusionist allows a laugh to resonate deep in his throat, though the sound is reedy and nearly unsettling. Nearly.

For a moment, the creature draws a circle around the long legged beast. At this distance, he can tell that he’s above average in height as well as beauty, but as far as speed? No one could match him, save maybe for his sister. Cocaine chic. That was the way things always had been. Tall and light and fast… that’s why he chuckles. That’s why he lets it happen.

“If you care to lose.” He grins, though. There’s charm. There’s always a charm to the illusionist that can’t be matched, or at least, hasn’t been yet. That’s why he is the way he is. That’s why he’s so brilliant. That’s why he feels so damn good about this. That, and the stranger is handsome. That always helps.
