The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

His attention had been ripped away from Paldor as the strangest of sensations washed over him, and his gaze drifted towards a multi-colored female and rested there. Riot felt some confusion with what was going on within his head, and he didn't know how these strange feelings were slipping in. Still, Riot did know quite a bit about Moladion by now, and it was not hard for his thoughts to settle on the word 'imprint' and hold there. This must be it, for it was weird and Riot had no real reason to be looking at the female this way. No reason to be interested in anything about her, like her name or any little thing about her. He wasn't attracted to her, not really (he kept his mind off of such things for the most part as it was), but there was something there.

Something to do with imprinting, he was sure. It almost made him want to turn away and go then and there, but there was also some odd urge to go near her anyway. So with a little sigh under his breath and a apologetic look sent to Paldor for going off and about, Riot started towards the female. He tried not to look uneasy, but he had already been in a bad place when he had arrived. A place that going out and about was meant to fix and uplift, but with this new situation, Riot wasn't sure that was going to happen. This was another complex issue to deal with, and Riot hadn't really given much thought to it. One could say that he did not entirely believe in the phenomenon of imprinting before, well, just now. He knew of the idea, but hadn't thought it acutally real...

But it could no longer be denied, and Riot had to face this. Just as he had to face other things that had come up in his life. Things he had not been ready for by any means, and wished he did not have to know. Riot did not want it to change anything to do with how he chose to live, but it probably would, one way or another. Just like this imprint thing would probably bring some change into his life. What kind of change, Riot couldn't figure out, but maybe meeting her properly would give him some insight into that. Once a few feet from her, Riot gave the female a dip of his head, trying to see if she had noticed any change in herself because of this, or if it went unnoticed. He had heard that females did reject imprints, and there was nothing that could be done in that case.
