The ideal combination for me; carte blanche - my favourite puzzle type - and a genuine element of old-fashioned danger, in the sense that I was convinced for a long time that I was not going to be able to solve it!
Eventually I was able to start piecing things together from the bottom of the grid, but there were still many clever and challenging clues to contend with, and there was a great feeling of fulfilment when everything finally slotted into place.
I wondered if there was any thematic reason for the entries wrapping around the edges or was it just to ease construction of the puzzle?
Thanks Artix for an intriguing and thorough workout.
