Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Solitaire tried not to pry into the lives of others when it was just as easy for them to find him if they wanted company. Thus far, it felt as if those within Glorall were mostly the types of wolves to do their own things, and Solitaire was beginning to feel less attached to them. The bond was starting to fade, because only a sparse few really did much of anything to do with others. At least he still felt some connection to Eden, and of course he felt the bond with Tristan the strongest. But oddly, he felt more of a bond with a loner out near the grotto than with most of the pack. They needed to do something together again. Maybe another hunt would draw them together more. It was a thought, at least.

Now he did not want to step on any toes when it came to duties of the pack, and yet he felt it might be needed, that hunt idea. Something to pull them all together for the coming Winter. He would continue to ponder this idea, and he might present it to Eden and Alcmene if either of them did not do anything else in the days to come. Or maybe he was just feeling strange and lonely with everything going on. It was hard to tell, so he filled the days with gathering flowers and herbs and any plant life that could be useful in his job. With putting them all in their place in the den meant for thier storage, and ensuring that he had more than plenty of everything for the Spring. Just in case.

He would have to bring some of it over to Diveen for Ambrosia, and see who all in Glorall might be expecting to ensure they had stuff on paw just in case. It was better to be prepared just in case he wasn't close enough to be quick enough to help, or if he would be going back and forth between two mothers.. one never knew what might happen when it came to giving birth, and Solitaire did not want anyone to not have access to what was needed. He would keep an abundance of stuff for the situations involved, and try to discuss the preliminaries of healing herbs and patching up after birthing to those who wanted to know what to use for what, just to be on the safe side.

When he went on his way to go patrol, he saw the smaller one move towards him, and he glanced at her with a smile and a swaying of his tail. "Hello there." He greeted her, only to hear her pipe up about the plants, asking him what he did with them. Solitaire chuckled a little. "I use them for healing injuries or sickness, or help those with headaches and stress." He responded lightly, wondering if she would be further interested in it, and if he might have someone to teach about these things. "Do you want to learn about some of them? I'm sure you could be a great help to others in need if you knew how to help out." He adds, curious to see what else she has to say, or ask.
