thought people were more likely to see this here than on news.
now that i'm off work we're planning to get the new version up ASAP (like, this week). i'm going to try and knock the plots out this weekend and start a short countdown from mon/tues. the new version will restore ordinary magic.
i'm letting you guys know this so you can prepare as need be. any plots which rely on characters not having magic will want to be rolled out or wrapped up soon. you will of course have the usual countdown before switch day to help you. :)
for newbies who haven't experienced a switchover before, don't worry about it at all. you won't have to finish your old threads and start new ones; you can continue and finish any old threads at your own pace, or finish them all and start completely new ones if you prefer. any new threads you start once the version is up will see your characters able to use their normal powers. there are usually lots of celebrations, competitions and freebies around switch time, so make sure you check the news board regularly for the next few weeks. :)
