out of the four siblings, aurelia was the lightest sleeper. bird chirping outside? aurelia was up with the sun. someone jostled around in their sleep? she was stuck trying to sleep for hours. needless to say, aurelia's keen ears were quickly turning her into an insomniac.

the afternoon sun, paired with the comforting sound of her mother's heartbeat, had lulled her to sleep, curled in with her mother and sister. the sound of cade's too deep voice, however, woke her up. the girl's narrow muzzle lifted from where she had tucked it under one delicate paw, mismatched eyes narrowing on her brothers. pricking up her ears, aurelia heard her oldest sibling's deep bark and watched as berwyn exited after him. now just where did those two think they were going?

being the smallest of her litter had some perks: she effectively disentangled herself from her mother and sister with ease, hopefully waking neither up. the masked pup exited the den a few moments later, seeking out her brothers' forms. coming up empty and growing bitter that her siblings had left her out of their adventure, the pup was turning to go back to the den when a howl rang out. a smile worked onto her muzzle as she turned sharply towards the sound. her brothers weren't the only ones who could have an adventure!

she started out at a brisk trot, little nose twitching with interest as the smell of spirane members began to gather. she broke out into the meadow and felt a flash of disappointment when her eyes landed on her brothers. shrugging it off, she took interest in the other wolves already there: a dark colored pup, a pup lingering on the outside edges of the group, an adult male, and the kicker, a little group of wolves that smelled different. this was the group that aurelia's day and night eyes lingered on. there were two adult wolves and a group of pups, one of which opened his mouth to speak. he dropped a name, probably his own, and aurelia decided that it's time to join the group.

she trotted to her brothers, pushing her body forcefully between them with a snarky grin to caderyn. pushing the rest of the way through, she boldly made her way towards the not-spirane wolves. stopping in front of the adult male and the male pup who had introduced himself, aurelia leaned forward and stretched forward on her tip toes, muzzle extended upwards towards the grown male. settling back on her paws, satisfied that she had catalogued their strange smell, she tilted her head to the right. "i'm aurelia. you're not from spirane, so where are you from?" she questioned a moment later, keen eyes moving over the group.
