OOC: Just a note before we begin. Everyone is invited but I would like an alpha or both from the packs. We will have some sort of posting order so there's no running debates between just two wolves or anything like that. I would also like it if your wolf is just watching that maybe you just mention it in a short post and leave it at that or something but I would like to reserve most of the posts for the wolves/alphas who will be allowed to speak. Please only ask to speak if you know Covet personally or the wolf/wolves he is accusing of something. We don't need strangers bringing up assumptions or anything like that. This is about the truth and what really happened and how it was taken into context. We will find some sort of posting order as we go along, just please don't post a second time without making sure it's okay first. I want to accomplish something, not just throw in a lot of crazy posts xD Anyone is allowed to say afterwards that they came and watched the trial so you don't have to feel obligated to post, just read and enjoy! Loners are welcome as well! With that said, let's do this!

IC: I feel like I'm floating on air at this point. My newest member, a wolf I'd never even heard of before, has shocked me beyond measure and gave me the best gift I could ever ask for. She will be rewarded greatly for this, the first to be given a rank. What kind of alpha would I be to not reward such a gift? True, I could have waited for my assassins to find him and bring me his head but this somehow seems so much MORE. What would it do to kill him and boast it to the world? His family would probably just come after me, accuse me of killing him for something stupid or made up and then we would have them to deal with. No, I have an even greater idea and I believe most of Moladian will be clamoring to get in on this. A trial meant for Covet. A way to put everything out on the line in front of everyone and let the truth be heard for probably the first time since this whole thing started. He wants everyone to know the true nature of Angels? Fine, then they'll find out what kind of wolf Covet is too. And everyone who's anyone has front row seats to the action.

I pace restlessly at the rock formation in the center of the pack lands. This stone means so much to so many. It is a constant reminder that Heyel is no longer here but I still feel him every moment and I know that he's watching from above, probably laughing over this whole business. But I bet he'd love to be here to see this. Covet has been accusing us of everything under the sun lately and we hear it all second hand. Well, no more. It's time for him to put some face time in and quit skulking. He ran off after insulting Guardian and I that day. He didn't give either of us a chance to speak, he just told us off and ran like a coward. Then he comes to challenge my father because of something he believes I did. Where's the right in that? Then he tries to kill my father over what? A pack he didn't even want to keep himself? My father's sacrifice would have been over nothing. It sickens me what Covet has put this family through.

I have yet to see him approach the borders but I can only hope he doesn't make us wait too long. The invitations have already been sent out and I've gotten confirmations from most of the alphas on their impending arrival or the arrival of some sort of go-between for them. I understand that alphas have their duties and not all can take a break to come see the trial but I know a lot of wolves in Moladian are curious to see what the drama is all about. Now we just need the guest of honor. My eyes narrow as I look out over the borders, waiting to see his familiar form. I only ever came across him once, that fateful day at the borders when he got mad that I spoke Latin to Guardian even though apparently he knew Latin too. But I would already know his markings and eyes anywhere. I can't wait to see how he tries to wriggle out of this one. Everyone will be here watching so he can't say the Angels rigged it and made up lies just to humiliate him. No, I plan on letting him do that all by himself when his own lies are put to snuff. True, most of the wolves from Heyel's time are gone but there are still some that live on that may know the truth.

I'm not saying we'll be proven innocent of all crimes put before us. He may have something on Heyel that maybe he did do but then that begs the question, why take it out on his own bloodline? What do they have to do with any of it? Just because they share his blood doesn't make them the same wolf who would do the same things in the same situation. That would just be an idiotic thing to say. If it's about Guardian and I then we'll just quote from our time at the borders and let the judge decide how "rude" we acted toward him because apparently I still don't see it. Why keep challenging for packs if you don't want to rule? Is he trying to play God and decide who can have a pack and who can't? That seems pretty petty if you ask me. A true alpha should be able to fight for their own pack, to prove they can defend it, not be handed a pack on a silver platter by someone who's just going to hand it down and leave you to run it willy nilly.

There's nothing to be done until Covet gets here so I sit on the rock formation and wait.

OOC: Since we can't do anything until Covet gets here, I ask that you let him post first and then I'll have Achilles let him know what's going on and then the alphas can start posting their arrivals. Thanks for your cooperation (:
