Riot was still very much learning, but he had very firm opinions on certain matters already. Like where he wanted to go with his life and the need to put forth all the effort that he could to get there. To do things in order without skipping anything, to hold onto his views and remember his timeline. To ensure he had a place in his pack, in the world itself. His own little niche where he fit just right. So far so good, though he supposes he had been a little slow to get to where he was to what he thought, but all in all, he thinks that if he is able to work in order to move up at least one more rank by the time Summer rolled back around, then he would be just exactly where he had planned to be at the start. Just because there had been roadblocks before did not mean with enough effort he couldn't still reach his goals.
He had done all that he could to prove his loyalty to Aithne, and would keep doing what he could to prove his worth within the pack and for his rank. For hopefully what would be a rise in rank when he gained new tasks to go for it. That was the plan, though he still had to find out how to do that, what tasks there would be if Aithne decided he was ready to go for it. Riot thought that he was, but he would have to wait and see. Which was unfortunate where it kept him all too alone with his thoughts and all the new relevalations about his bloodline, and that wasn't really a good place for him to be of late. He just needed to push it all to the back of his mind and go on as he had been before. But was that even something that he could do if things only continued to escalate? That wasn't something he wanted to let his thoughts run to, but he was starting to see a bigger picture.
That did not mean he had to like it or be anywhere near it, but he could only do his best and manage to avoid where he could. Which was why the nice dip in the water, the need for the rush of it to wash all his problems away and soothe his aching mind. Riot did not mind friendly company in doing so, he had simply been wary of less than friendly creatures when so much had been going haywire within Moladion. Riot let himself relax as the female entered the water as well, though when she spoke he blinked, having forgotten for the second that he had spoken it aloud and not only to himself. "Oh.. that's kind of you to say." He responded with a small smile. Riot had not expected something like that to be said, but there was a first for everything, he imagined. And a lot of firsts were going on lately, but this was probably one of the better ones.
When she spoke again, asking -- almost hesitantly -- if he was from Iromar, Riot nodded. "Yes I am. And you are from Spriane?" That was the hint of scent he was getting from her direction, thinking of how close he had gotten to almost being a part of that pack, and the talks he'd had with Pan those months ago. Riot supposed he really should go back and visit, see how things were going there. They were allies of Iromar, after all. There had even been a hunt thing for the youngsters, though Iromar had only two, and one that had been up to go. Still, it had gone well enough, and Riot has to wonder if they would do more allied group things again soon. Riot realized there was a lot of things he had let get away from him with all that had been going on, and he needed to figure out his priorities.
