Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Illyria had a soft spot for... not much of anything, if she were to be fully honest. Dieloch was one of those very few things, and that was probably more due to some odd accidental flight of fancy from years ago when she had seen the male for the first time. Fighting with all he had, with that spark in him that made Illyria give pause, and then help him out. It was an unmatched fight, and let a little bit of help had tipped the scales. After that, they had helped each other in small ways; him keeping the vagabonds off her trail, and she helping him with those he had to fight with luring them away or attacking. However she had to divert their attentions, while he had done the same for her.

It was a strange bond, and while she could not say she felt love for Dieloch, she felt something and that was enough. It was more than she felt for any other, and to her that was as good as it got. Illyria was not an overly emotional creature, and she could only wonder what motherhood might do to her when it occurred. If she would be just as cold to them as anyone else save for that urge to keep her bloodline alive, or if she would end up with some fabeled maternal instinct. Only time would tell, and Illyria could confess to the fact that she was curious on the matter. A curiousity that could be sated when the Spring came and with it, the new life she planned to have.

With leaving the male whom she had spoken briefly to in the dust, she was able to still hear the words he had called out at her. It did not settle right with her, the intention of those words, but Illyria was sure she would protect any pups that she gave birth to, whether or not she felt anything over them but that want to have a part of her thrive aside from her own being. Illyria would have to tell Dieloch of the encounter and the veiled threat, though she figured by then they would be cozy in one of the packlands. It would be much more safe there from other predators, and Illyria wanted the least amount of stress if she was finally going to become a mother.
