For Tick Tock being in a pack was a bit unusual. She was indeed not familiar so much with pack life. In her pup hood she could barely recall or even retain what it was like to live amongst others of her species. She was forced to be a loner chased out by her own blood. Yet she had grown from her time of being alone into becoming a wolf that relied on natural instincts, but used her ability to strike fear against those that knew of her and were well aware of her curse. Here though in Moladion she remained hidden during her time as a nomad. She would move from one location to the next keeping herself hidden and away from prying eyes. She could hunt prey animals alone and she would kill a wolf every now and then, but only if they showed weakness. For her, and for her actions, they could easily be frowned upon, but she was doing a good service. Wolves destroy what is weak so that the group of animals could survive and she naturally placed this idea with those of her own species. She was a monster, this was true, but she was not always like this. There was a time when she was such a playful pup full of innocence and yet…no one bothered to see it. No one bothered to see her potential and what she could have been and that was their downfall. This was not something she would do within her own pack. She would see their potential, of any kind, and help them achieve what they wanted and build them into becoming a stronger version of themselves. She would give them something her pack could never give her – the ability to become something.
Silently she sits a few ways in front of her den knowing full well that Flare and Tobias remained asleep. She would like to get back to them, but right now she was needed. Patiently she sat down her mauled face showing no emotion. Dark sapphire eyes looking the girl over noticing that she was young and perhaps was in need of some more food. Winter was coming and she wanted to make sure that her pack would be able to endure through the tough season. Winter was not forgiving to those that we weak, and although her numbers were small, she did not want them to dwindle. When Starshade dipped her muzzle low Tick Tock blinked once and mimicked her actions, finding this greeting appropriate. Half-torn ear twitched as she moved her neck forward to hear the soft whispers from the she-wolf. For a moment Tick Tock would sit there silently as she looked over the girl a few more times before nodding her head as her jaws parted and her soft cold lyrics tumbled out gently.
“I do not see you as a burden right now. Tell me, what you are good at, what’s your strength, what do you particularly like doing, telling me these things gives me an idea on where to place you in the ranks. Unless you already have an idea on the particular rank you want?”
Tick Tock liked the ones that tried to better themselves. Eric was going to try to lead them on a hunt. Galileo wanted to be her top spy, and even if he was not at the age to do a proper steal, he was doing everything he possibly could to move up. Cuirass wanted to be her top warrior and he was doing his training and learning as much as he could to be that great warrior and she was more than happy to help him. Though she had no idea what Starshade wanted to be other than not being a burden. There was only so much Tick Tock could do, she could point the way and help along, but she could not make that ultimate and final decision – that would have to be Starshade. Though she did notice how she seemed to shift her eyes away from her and this would cause Tick Tock to growl softly, ever so softly, almost like a purr – a gentle warning.
“You can look at my face, I do not mind, but do not avert your eyes from mine…it shows weakness and I do not like weakness.”
It did not bother her if others saw her face or looked her in the eye. There was nothing she could do for her face and really, if one could not even look upon it, then they would not need to live here within the fields.
