Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Don’t get Kobato wrong, the sight of her dragon booming with laughter made her heart soar through skies it had never before seen. She wished it would last forever. That they could pretend everything was alright enough for them to be at ease like this all the time. That they wouldn’t HAVE to pretend. But they did, and those pretend moments were rare to come by. Like what? She looked up, surprised at his voice. She hadn’t seen the embarrassment shiver its way through his facial features. She opened her mouth, surprise lighting her own palette with color, her eyes searching for an answer that wouldn’t come. Kobato shut her mouth quickly so she wouldn’t appear the part of a fish taking air through it’s pathetic lungs. But his expression changed and her heart slowed with relief. What a strange thing… to see Vladya laughing. To see him smirking at her. PLAYFULLY. She smiled softly. It was no secret that she liked Vladya. It was no secret that she enjoyed being around him. And now it was no secret that she liked seeing him exposed to life. Maybe I was just SO excited to see you outside of a dream that I woke up. I guess I missed your face or something. At first, Kobato just stared at him. Silence passed between the two and then a nuclear bomb went off. Kobato’s ears tilted back and her cheeks puffed a bit. Her body couldn’t decide if it was more embarrassed or amused. She went with embarrassed. Because though she yearned to laugh, the feeling of being exposed to something you don’t know how to react to is stronger than any emotion besides love. Kobato, I just…

His weight was suddenly on her, scaring the living shit out of the former princess. Mainly because 1) she hadn’t been paying attention to him and 2) because she had been too caught up in her embarrassment to notice the footfalls or their accommodating vibrations as they neared her. She was so much smaller than him, so the fact that he was able to maneuver himself to press into her chest had her grasping blindly for oxygen. The moment immediately turned from a very embarrassing one to one ruled by monarchs made up of thoughts. And those monarchs were monsters. Dark energy that she did not wish to be under the rule of. Said fae figured this was the best time as any to speak. And it started out as a whisper.Well I-- The tri colored ess fumbled for words, muscles tightening. Oh TOR. Well I missed y-your face too. Her eyes went to the side, brows furrowed, obviously overwhelmed with embarrassment. I-I guess. Toffee portals flicked shyly back and forth from him to the ground to the sky to him to the flowers. Could she curl up and hide beneath a rock for a century or three? Maybe eight?! Whatever his reaction may be, it was.

Moments afterwards the brujo sighed. And that worried her. Because this meant that those dark monarchs composed of thoughts had brought their scepters down on his shoulders. She rushed to relieve him, listening intently for something, anything, that she might be able to fight against in hopes of saving him from the darkness. A possibility crossed her mind--- was this what kept him up, shifting at night? Kobato herself stayed up late only because she was nervous sleeping next to the owner of her virginity. But recently his movements had been enough for her to figure that something was still bothering him. It started not days after they left Munashii. Pity had filled her heart, as it still did now. It was never a good thing when demons prodded you with spikes late at night when nothing else was there to grasp your attention. And Kobato had always feigned sleep. Now she was regretting it. The lady waited patiently, moving so that he would be more comfortable up against her. And she relaxed immensely. She was moments, literally a fraction of a second away from placing soft, cautious kisses on his forehead when a growl vibrated through his flesh, rumbling against her own. Perhaps he had felt that he was too exposed. Kobato did not judge. Nor was she afraid of anything. She understood his ways… well most of them, now. Enough of them to judge when he was being rude and when he was just raising a shield.

You know what would be FUN? A little dare game… Kobato swallowed. The motion was way too exposing for her, considering that he was just right there, lingering at her windpipe. The place where he had pressed a (not even) halfhearted nip at the space beneath her throat was burning. It was as if his touch placed heat at every collision. Kobato looked down the length of her nose, leaning back a bit on unsteady legs as she assessed her dragons intentions. What was he thinking? ….What? A stupid question. Whaddya say, kid? Scared? Kid. Scared. Kobato’s cheeks puffed up, but not with embarrassment this time. But rather with the mixed emotions that came with being 1) thought of as a child still 2) accused of being scared and 3) a challenge she wasn’t sure she wanted to accept. If there was one thing Vladya had rubbed off on her during her time with him, it had to be a new sense of pride. Kobato’s listeners twitched with girlish ambition. If that has never been a thing, it sure as hell is one now. She caught his looks now, and was mesmerized by their color. She still did not know the answer to the blood-eye. Nor did she feel the need to know it. He would tell her if he wanted to when he wanted to. I—um… No. She clawed her mental way to release his gaze and turned away, cheeks heated. .YOU’RE the scariest thing around here. I can handle scary. Kobato sent an unconscious sly look to Vladya, eyes half lidded and mischief running through them.
