Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Aldonza was always trying to better herself, to look better through bathing and grooming efforts (which could take hours to do properly, in her opinion), and working on being more graceful, more agile, more prim and proper in any way that she could. She wanted to be desired, wanted to have better options later in life in the light of that. She had no idea just want kind of trouble she could get into now because of it, since she did not see herself as any kind of target. It did not register to her that there were those types out and about. She was vaguely aware that some wolves got attacked and some were known for eating others, but she didn't really know anyone with personal experience of these things.

It was like any other day of roaming for Aldonza, just taking in the sights and deciding to go another route today. Usually she stayed away from the rocky terrain, as Spirane had enough of that. However, she had been chasing a mole earlier and it had run this way. The mole had not survived the encounter, and it was one of the few creatures Aldonza hunted. Anything that could do more damage to her was often avoided, because the idea of being scarred by one did not sit well with her. She was far too vain, after all. If she had scars all over the place, then her future wouldn't be quite as bright, would it? At least she didn't think so. She wanted to always be winsome.

There was no feeling with the coming Winter, since she was not yet to that point, but she understood the concepts of it all and eventually she would have to figure out how to get herself in the right kinds of situations. She wanted to make contacts wherever she went, thinking that could give her a pointer on what to do in the years to come. She'd even thought of changing packs if it would help her to achieve something, but so far she had found very little of interest. Still, Aldonza was not going to give up hope for the future, because who knew what better things could come? That was why she kept it all up, groomed until not a single hair was out of place on her hide. She had to always look her best.

Though after her meal she had to ensure the blood was licked clean from her maw, and her hair was settled back into place from the rush to getting the upper paw on the mole. So she sought out the puddles in the indents of rocks, finding one and going to clean her muzzle better by eyeing her reflection, then getting the bloody areas wet, rubbing it off, and looking back into the puddle to check after it had stilled. It was a long process, but Aldonza had long ago realized that she needed to be patient with such things. Looking good was a skill set. Once she felt she was all spruced up again, Aldonza started back off among the craigs, not really thinking about what was going on around her, only practising her graceful stepping.
