News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Lailah
It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
The whole of the world seems to fall to a doleful silence, Semele's sadness breaking the heart of fate itself. The little night angel wanted to desperately to reach out and comfort her sister but hesitated at the appearance of the black male. The comfort and reassurance he seemed to offer her in those moments that they shared alone together in each other's embrace were something that Lailah knew she couldn't offer her. Blood may be thicker than water, but Semele would always have blood. She will always need water. Lailah could not blame her for turning to her friendships over family, after all, the reason she was crying was because of family. She could not however deny the ache in her heart that her sister could harbor such sadness and pain and not find solace in the young girl, who's silence would listen to a thousand tales of woe, adventure, romance with utter patience. If only the red girl could sew her heart upon her sleeve for more than the black dragon.

Lailah waited and waited, the soft snoring of her family from within the den attempting to lull her inside to join them. The moon and the stars poured out upon the small girl, keeping her company and playing games with the shadows that danced around her. Black laced twitched at the sound of footsteps, deliberately softened as to not wake any nearby mountain inhabitants from their dreams. And then the beauty that was Semele appeared, the moon shining upon her, and Lailah could have sworn she glowed before her very eyes. The the small night angel, her older sister was one of the most beautiful creatures in the entire world, rivaled only by their mother. She was the creation of star dust, brought together to form their own constellation. Fallen rose petals had seeped their color into her fur and not even the forest itself could compare to the green of her eyes; for leaves and grass died but the pools remained ever green. Semele was everything Lailah wish she could be. The small girl was rightfully told she was beautiful too, but gazing upon Semele made those words seem false.

There is a moment where the older red girl does not notice the little white angel laying so quietly outside the den. Then like a spirit, she seems to manifest before blinking eyes, emotions having drained the energy from them. "Little blossom why are you not in bed?" Semele smiles softly to the little girl who returns the smile, ink dipped tail swaying ever to quietly across the dirt. "I've been waiting for you," Lailah's words are soft, naturally quiet. Each syllable was sweet and more beautiful than anything a song bird could ever muster. Semele was one of the few that got the special treat of hearing her voice on a regular occasion. When the older girl reaches down to gently nuzzle her muzzle against the white and black girl's, who in turn returned the gentle motion; everything about Lailah was gentle, from her voice to her touch. There was so much unspoken love between them in these silent moments. How desperately Lailah wishes to show Semele the true extent of her love in silence, but words were needed to convey all of her emotions properly.

The older girl momentarily takes notice of the snores, registering it with a small laugh before she places her red form down beside her little sister. The night angel leaned into her sister, cuddling in as close as possible but it never seemed close enough after the tears she had witnessed today. "Was mother threatening the neighbors again?" Semele asks, a chuckle bringing to light on the earlier events in the day. Lailah laughs with, each note dancing from her lips like the most beautiful ballet. A little white crown shakes her head no as he laughs end in a gentle, content sigh at the memory. Anyone who knew their mother Everlyse knew that she had a temper to her, often times grumpy but almost never with them or her father Reich. New additions to the tree had seamed to pick this up, the squirrels deciding she was a grumpy white bear rather than a white wolf and began to throw nuts at her. Their mother's reaction had been humorous as she attempted to get back at them by climbing the tree; so funny that even their father had fallen into a fit of silent laughter at his mate's antics. They weren't the most conventional family, but they were perfect just as they were.

"I love you.. you know that right?" the words are serious, so different than moments before. Lailah silently stares into her sister's minty eyes, the forest and the ocean so calm and kind as always. A small smile dances upon the angel's lips as she curls in closer to her older sister. There is a silent nod, words not needing to be spoken to be conveyed to clearly. Always. She had always known of her older sister's love for her and for all of their small family. It filled the white girl with a flutter of happiness to hear Semele say it, for the walls that separated them to start coming down. For all the strength that the red girl had it had kept her true feelings subdued and hard to see, but now in her most vulnerable moments they were coming through in waves of colors for all to see. "I love you too," she whispers back, their hearts beating together and for each other in this moment.

Lailah was not a wolf of many words but somehow they broke past her comfort zone of silence and danced past her lips with ease. "Why were you crying Semele? You're too beautiful and strong to cry," her question was a bit abrupt but there was no sting for an answer in it, only a silent plea to let her in. Despite all there love and sisterly bond there was still something that separated them, a wall that Semele has erected from day one to cope with something that Lailah would not understand.

Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
'Til it was a battle cry
