Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Talk about not being able to sleep; Solitaire was still not okay. It was worse as time drew on, but there was little he could do right now. He had ideas, but he had held himself back, trying to be sensable about the entire thing. It was no easy feat, and he was still struggling with what to do, and if it would be worth it to do.. whatever it was. He wanted payback, certainly, but he was not sure how far he was willing to go to gain it. There was no knowing just what the reactions to what he decided to do would be, either. For now, he was waiting it out, and he was a mess while he did so. More than anything it was the silence that unnerved him. The fact that maybe it had been a trick all along, and that would be the last straw if so. Keeping calm might only last until the snow flew, and that time was getting close.

He had taken to pacing often enough, still gathering herbs but there was a lackluster way about him that hadn't been there before. He was taking everything hard, and although he wasn't going to shirk his duty at all, anyone who knew him could tell something was very wrong. Solitaire hadn't even told Tristan yet, but if news traveled fast enough that his brother had known Ambrosia's name before Solitaire could tell him it, then Tristan would most likly know what had happened. And what that meant for Solitaire. Either way, Solitaire wasn't ready for that conersation, because he was not ready to face the fact that his brother would probably be on the side of dropping the entire matter. And if that was the case, if Tristan ignored Solitaire's pain.. then the choice was all but made and Solitaire wasn't ready for any of it.

It was not a good place for Solitaire to be, in this state of mind. However, all he could do was keep going. Today had him going down to the beach to collect salt grime on the rocks. Salt would be good for healing things when the situation called for it, and thus Solitaire was getting some more of it before the Winter hit and snow made it harder to collect. He was trying not to think of the current issues; of Ambrosia or Striker or his family and all the problems kicked up in all of those areas, but it was hard not to let it get to him. He just wanted to safeguard his family and his own feelings, wanted to stop feeling like this, to forget what might have been and find what he had been before. Yet it seemed to be too late for that now. He had realized how he felt, had that door opened.. only to be slammed shut.

After collecting some of the salt grime from the rocks, Solitaire brought it back the the herb and plant den, then he went back to look for more. However, he noted the presence of another wolf there, one he did not believe he knew at all. Weird, as Glorall was sort of small for a pack, but it was also known for many reclusive wolves within it. Or that was how Solitaire saw it. Not many of them really did much interacting, aside from Tristan and Eden, so this was an interesting development. Solitaire wasn't sure if he was really ready for much interaction with others for himself right now (though he had been before all of this had crashed down upon him, so this was not a usual thing for him), and so he simply nodded to the other wolf, and allowed a small smile his eyes couldn't quite back up.
