Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

There was no knowing in what she would find when she went off and away from Spirane, but it could be something good, like a new friend or experience for later in life. Some good advice that she could take with her and help her reach her goals. Or, at least for today, a small meal that would keep her going. It wasn't fish, as that was the prey she was best at catching, and more prone to do as well. They did not often fight back, and when they did they usually did not have much for a defense. This meant that she could catch them all she wanted, and there was very little chance of bruises or cuts or anything like that which concerned her about real hunting situations. Still, moles only have small teeth, and the scarring was minimal and sometimes worth the risk.

Today it had been, and the thing had not a chance to bite her back. Thus she was pleased by her hunt and her meal, and having cleaned herself off of the creature's blood, she was ready to go about her day. To do all she could to shine brightly, to be that beacon of light that someday would outshine others. That was a goal of hers, at least. She would try hard to reach it, though she had no clear idea of her path in life. She simply knew that doing these things and making herself seem more desirable would better her chances when she was older, and that was all it took to convince her of the importance of keeping in shape, of grooming her furs to perfection and moving like a dream. Or, that was what she hoped would be the case after all the practise in trying to do so.

Being so oblivious to what was going on around her, Aldonza was a bit startled when the male approached her. Her steps slowed and finally stopped, one leg flexed in the air as she peered at the male who had arrived. He seemed friendly enough with his smile and head dip, so Aldonza smiled back with a little nod of her own. "Oh, hello." It was the best she could muster due to her surprise, and she mentally berated herself for not being more proper with her words. Being startled should not excuse that kind of behaviour, and she told herself that she wouldn't do it again. If she was going to get anywhere in life, she needed to be able to face every situation with grace and poise. Still, she was young enough to get that one down better for later when it would be more needed.

He was speaking soon enough, and Aldonza's eyes widened a little bit at first, and the next part of his words had her fluffing and preening. She felt successful in what she had been doing to better herself in her movement and grooming, for it had paid off to be complimented in this way. It inflated her ego and vainty even more to have hear the words, and it was obvious that those words were affecting Aldonza quite a bit. "Why thank you, I'm flattered!" She responded with a bright smile and wave of her tail. "My name is Aldonza, and what is yours?" She askes, having no clue of what she was walking into, or how two faced this male might be. Then again, she craved attention like her lung craved air, and she couldn't help but respond to all of this like she was.
