Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Question 1: Where did they build Hadrian’s Wall?

Dear Cousin-

I have heard much about this trial and while most of my family has returned to Diveen I have no desire to do so, I like Glorall and I have every intention of staying here to make a life for myself- but I have to say, if we as a pack are speaking on this matter then let me offer you another view of this, there are two sides to every story and you should hear both. I am son of Kane and Isola, full brother to Achilles, grandson of Heyel and there is much of this story I know as much of our family is given to know and I offer you another view on it entirely, a view I believe to be true and I grow tired of this senseless game of hate, it is not becoming.

Many of us, Angels, know the true story of this death from long ago. Heyel did indeed murder Apollymi, Covet’s grandmother- on the orders of Jaidah who desired the throne of Judila so much so that she employed Heyel to do it so she might take over and appear the packs grand saviour so as to further encourage trust in herself. If anyone killed Apollymi- it was Jaidah, Heyel was merely the weapon.

As for what happened in Diveen, Covet did not announce himself, he skulked around the borders and as such, a suspicious Achilles and Guardian approached him. Achilles asked him would he mind telling him what he was looking for, whereupon Covet declared him to be rude. I may not be an Alpha but any wolf would ask what another wanted if a loner was scouting their borders or appeared to be doing so, Guardian arrived after that, asked Achilles in our language if Covet had trespassed or was merely wandering before attempting to explain to Covet that Achilles was not trying to be rude, but that a stranger on the borders warranted investigation. Achilles then asked if Covet would like him to call someone for him. Covet then declared that how dare they speak latin before him and that rudeness was clearly our pack motto before storming off. If Achilles and Guardian proceeded to laugh at Covet’s childish behaviour then I do not know- but I do know Covet had left and could not possibly have heard that after leaving the area. He lies to you Solitare- blatantly, at least in regards to that event.

Covet took Diveen because, in his own words ‘Achilles and Guardian were rude’. Upon taking Diveen he made no attempt to run it, instead offered it to anyone else. He gave it to my cousin Ambrosia upon the condition that she would breed with Solitare. Nothing was taken from you Solitare, Ambrosia has fled Moladion else disappeared and yet, even Azrael, her father, has stated that if she still chose to carry your children even without a pack that choice would be her own and he would accept those children as his grandchildren- because it would be choice, not force that saw them born. No one took anything from you, except Ambrosia herself- if you wish to blame anyone for that then blame her for disappearing. Can you truly blame a young girl for not wanting to be forced into a breeding for no other reason then because Covet incorrectly perceived Achilles and Guardians attempts to help and because 100 years ago Heyel killed someone on someone else’s orders? Did Covet truly thinking attempting to impregnate Ambrosia with some relative would make an alliance between his family and Angels after declaring war upon them? Achilles came back for Diveen, Ambrosia never answered his challenge. Covet, then proceeded to attempt to take Spirane because Achilles, Guardian and many of my family sheltered there- he had no intention of running Spirane, he merely desired to take it because he wanted to punish Spirane and wolves he has never met for doing no more then being friends with Angels.

Covet’s children were never harmed by any Angel, nor did any keep them away from him to my knowledge, I was not there then, but neither were you. If anyone kept his children from him it was surely their mothers- this is the story I know from Heyel, Azreal and others. Heyel may have been many things but a liar he was not.

-No wolf was ever rude to Covet
-No harm ever came to his children by Heyel who was Alpha of Trenus at the time they were born to my knowledge
-Apollymi was killed on Jaidah’s orders
-Attempting to force Ambrosia into bearing an heir is not an alliance to Angel eyes
- He attempted to take Spirane from Danearys for spite, or so it would seem
- Covet made no attempt to speak to Queen Isola to see or ask how Diveen was being run, he never met her or tried to do so- he judged based on a hate for Heyel from a million years ago
-Heyel is dead. There is no use hating a dead wolf.
-Solitaire, if you still desire children from Ambrosia, simply find her and speak with her, no one is stopping you, I mean, maybe she really liked you? Why not find out? Maybe you could still have a family if thats what you want. You deserve to be happy too.

This is the truth as known by my family. Your brother lies to you, I think, Solitaire and he shouldn't. You deserve the truth too or at least to know both sides and decide for yourself. There are two sides to every story, I am not a wolf of Diveen any longer, but I offer their side of this story because it too deserves to be heard as I know it from Isola, Heyel, Azreal, Guardian and from living within Diveen all my life. These issues, I assume, will be covered in the trial- but now you know both sides
Eden. You asked for information to be issued to you prior, so I have done so. It was lengthy, I apologise to you both for that.

If any of this information changes after the trial I will inform you. I am more then willing to hear Covet's events on this and how they might differ from what I know and experienced to some extent in Diveen. If I am wrong I will admit it.

I will travel happily with you Solitaire. I am an Angel and I will not deny it, but that, simply, means I am descended from Heyel and nothing else. I hope you will not judge me on my blood and accept my invitation to go with you to Diveen if that is your intention. Judge me for me- not my blood.
