At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

The ashen ess couldn’t help feeling warm under his gaze as they looked into each other. She felt enchanted, there was no pain, no crimson eyes to stalk her. There was only comfort in seeing his arctics gaze upon her leaving a gentle warmth spreading through her— calming her down. But as she stuttered she lost his gaze and the heat rose to her face leaving a rosy colour to her cheeks. But she glimpsed his eyes again when he spoke to her, “Well, Sebring, it is very nice to meet you.” but she couldn’t hold onto his gaze much longer. He’d picked the wrong string in her fragile mind and she collapsed again whimpering.

Sebring’s conscious mind heard Kalgalath crying out with her as she lay frozen. She felt his warm breath in her fur and the nightmares faded slightly. Her internal screaming finally broke the trance state and she rose again. She looked down in embarrassment trying to escape the questioning glare she assumed Kalgalath was giving her, but as she looked farther down she found his gaze coming from below her and she looked away but her crown stayed close to his. The ashen girl found herself wanting to lean down and close the gap between them but before she could even think to move Kalgalath had removed himself from the ground. His body sat on sandy beach as he leaned towards her, “Are you okay? Sebring didn’t want to hold it together anymore but she didn’t want to drag Kalgalath into her mess of a life. Especially her hell.

She looked into his arctics again letting the warmth seep from his gaze into her bodice again. She relaxed slightly and took a seat next to Kalgalath, though not close enough to be skin to skin, she felt her ashen fur mix slightly with his darker mottled fur. It was like being alive again, her fears were dampened. Kalgalath’s soft lyrics reached her auds and she looked into her eyes again seeking comfort from his icy blue orbs, "I will be one day… " she murmured quietly. "And maybe one day I’ll be able to accept who I am…" She broke his gaze again and collapsed into his shoulder. His earthy scent enveloped her and a small smile came across her maw without her realizing it. Her shoulders relaxed and her ashen fur mingled into his darker pelt. A peaceful sensation fell over the girl as she rested against him drawing strength from his muscular form. She couldn’t deny how comforting he was, but she blinked and looked into his eyes realizing she didn’t know this brute from Lupis other than his name.

She pulled herself away from him trying not to make anything more uncomfortable than it already probably was. Her fur grew colder and colder as she removed her light ash fur from his darker contrasting pelt. The icy fear returned to her heart but she maintained a certain control as she looked over the lake. The one which had almost taken away her life but Kalgalath had saved her and she would forever be in his debt. "Thank you for saving me Kalgalath." Sebring’s voice did not falter but grew stronger with each word, and his name brought her back to a comforting place. She wanted to stay with him but the sun was starting to fall into lake bringing about a certain darkness that ebbed from the tree line and she had nowhere to go. She knew he had a pack to return to but this did not diminish the fear of his departure.

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.
