At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

 Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice “Are you okay?” That was the question he asked her – a silly, worthless question as the answer was clearly ‘no’. And Kalgalath shook his head, upset with his own stupidity. What sort of a question was that? It was so generic and bland, so worthless. It was the sort of question you asked a stranger when they were clearly upset… when you really didn’t want to know the answer, but you were trying to be polite. But they were strangers still… but Kalgalath did not want it to stay that way. So why did he ask her such a stupid question? He could have asked her what he could do to help her, he could have asked her what she needed… but to ask a question that he already knew the answer to? How could he make himself look so dumb? His arctics were staring out at the lake. The breaths of wind had stilled and the surface appeared as glass. Every hair in his pelt was still… until suddenly it wasn’t. His cranium turned and noticed that the fae had shifted; it was her motion that had moved his pelt. She had stood apparently and now sat next to him, her hairs mere millimeters away from his. Were there a storm nearby, there would no doubt be electricity cycling between them, jumping from one hair to the next. His gaze swept up to meet her suns and he smiled at her. I will be one day… And maybe one day I’ll be able to accept who I am… Suddenly she fell into him and the brute tightened his muscles so that he could be strong for her. Peering down, he saw the smallest smile cross her lips as she relaxed, most of her weight now fully upon him. A few more moments passed before she looked up at him and sharply pulled away. The space between the two of them was starkly apparent. The heat that previously had been passing between them dissipated, allowing a sweep of cold air to chill his skin. Involuntarily he shivered and leaned toward her to regain the blanket of warmth that had previously been over him, but she was too far away and he stumbled a step, his paw shooting out to steady his body, landing in the silk. A soft chuckle fell from his maw as he peered up at her, a twinkle in his eyes and small wrinkles framing the outer corners of his lids. “Sorry about that.” His words passed at the same time as hers. Thank you for saving me Kalgalath. Awkwardly, he laughed again, cranium cocking ever so slightly to the side. As he peered at her, his voice tumbled out, softly, carefully, his gaze trailing each curvature of her façade. “I’m not sorry I saved you.” He knew the words didn’t need to be said, but he said them anyway. It was then that he realized that night was rising even as the sun fell, and darkness was swiftly enshrouding the lands. “Do… do you have a place to say? I’m sorry, I know I keep prying, but, are you new to Blossom Forest? I just ask because you are clearly not alright, and I don’t want to leave you alone. If you have a den or a pack or somewhere you have been sleeping I can help you get there.” He paused, worried about her, but also suddenly shy. “Or if you haven’t… Um…” His vocals failed and he couldn’t find any further words.
