News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

Aviias
Looking for the golden light

Aviias tried to focus her mind long enough to decipher the bickering between relatives happening somewhere in the darkness. Yet her mind was static, lost in a sea of confusion and fear. The words that had once echoed so clearly within the shadows were now muffled, almost indistinguishable from the questions that rattled in her mind. Achilles and this she wolf were not the beacon that would draw her out from her state of unconsciousness. No matter how far she ran and searched their voices only seemed to grow farther and farther away. A never ending void of cold darkness, the only foreseeable exit death and that was not an option. The small girl did not want to die, yet she also did not want to spend the rest of her life wandering the darkness, trying to escape her own mind.

And then Guardian arrived, his presence looming over her limp body. She did not have to use her eyes to imagine the look of worry written across his face, in fact she could hear it in his voice as he spoke to his cousin. It was almost like his voice gave her a sudden burst of life, even more reason and will to not only live but to find her way out and back to the real world. Aviias ran because that was the only thing she was really good at doing, but not away from something, straight towards where the remnants of that country drawl lingered. A light! Reality. She could hear them louder now, scent them strongly, even feel their presence. They were the rope and she was pulling herself out slowly.

The small girl was silently thankful she had not opened her eyes when she heard the teasing comment about marriage thrown to Guardian, a jest of sorts to maybe lighten the male's spirits. She felt flushed, her skin burning red hot, but thankfully covered by a fluffy barrier of fur to keep them from seeing. The thought was intimidating, never had her mind gone to the thought of marrying anyone, let alone Guardian. Sure Aviias thought Guardian was extremely handsome, sweet, caring, and over all a wonderful individual, but there was no way a male like him could ever learn to love a girl like her. She had lost two imprints, in her mind it led her to believe that something was wrong with her. Lose one, shame on him, lose two, there must be something wrong with her for all the males to walk out without a second thought. So marriage was out of the question in her eyes, not because she didn't like him, but because he wouldn't like her and she didn't want to risk losing a close friend like Guardian.

Violet eyes finally blink open, struggling under the weight of exhaustion to stay open. She looks first upon the form of one she does not recognize but assumes to be Achilles and then her eyes gently move to the one she had desired most: Guardian. She calls to him and, with a nudge from the white male, he comes, leaning over her ever so slightly. Despite everything, she still manages a smile, still manages to have a strong, brave heart and good outlook on life. There is something about him that draws it from her so easily. “Covet attacked ya? Dat guy dats kinda grey with dem black eyes?” he asks, trying to put a name and face to the wolf that had so viciously attacked her for reasons most absurd; knowing angels was enough to be attacked and almost killed? So what then of actually being an angel, what punishment would that warrant from the strange brute? Still too many questions, too much confusion.

"Did you get a name or a good description? Feel free to nod or shake your head if you don't want to talk. Achilles says, also trying to help in putting the puzzle together on the mystery wolf so they would know where to begin. Small gray head tries to shake her head no to many of the questions but finds the pain far more excruciating than speaking. "No name.....and the wolf had white eyes......He was white....with black markings.....not Covet...." she speaks, her words a little jumbled as she tries to explain and remember through a foggy mind. The angels were not wolves to mess with, and Aviias's attacker would learn it the hard way when he faced their wrath head on.

“Dat wolf….dat wolf dat killed Sulan and attacked dem others when we moved to Spirane, he said something ‘bout Angels too and Amir, at least I tink he did, dat’s what Isola said. Hyrule- ya needa talk ta Hyrule, reckon he’d know, Cousin. I dunnoa enough of dat story. Hy will.” Guardian says suddenly, seemingly having gotten some idea of the male from other incidents. Violet eyes catch the flick of his tail in irritation and she finds it....not fitting. Guardian is a calm, gentle soul and to see him filled with anger was not something she liked. Hopefully he would never look that angry every again, at least if Aviias could help make it so and if anyone knew anything of the small girl is that she is determined and persistent.

Aviias lay so helplessly at their border, listening and offering what she could but unable to do anything else. Everything hurt, the pain having engulfed her entire body in a numb ache. Any muscle she moved burned and many of her wounds had swollen up, making it impossible to move. When her friend began to speak in Latin, the native tongue of the angels, she blinked, surprised by the sudden change in his speech. Each word was flawless as it danced across his tongue, even the air around him seemed to swoon. It was amazing to the small, gray girl, another thing to add to her lists of things she liked about him.

When she cries out to him for comfort, trying to mask the fearful tears that has welled up in her eyes, he does not hesitate in responding to her. Guardian was a giant compared to her (aptly compared to a tree upon their first meeting), yet his touch was so gentle. He licks her cheeks and she cannot stop the soft whine she emits. Some of her fear stemmed from the thought of death, but a lot of it also came from the thought of Guardian and other angels going out to face this wolf, being hurt by this wolf. “Dun be scared, Angels ain’t never scared, we got each other and while imma ‘ere I make sure ya ain’t get ‘urt again, ya can stay with us, stay here in our pack and be an Angel too- then ya ain’t ever be alone again. Ya safe ‘ere, I promise.”

She forces her self to lift her head and to gently rest it upon him. A slow, shakey nod of her head and a small grin managed to escape the cage of pain and fear that surrounds them. The thought of being allowed to become an honorary angel, to never be scared or alone again, it filled her with so much happiness. There were many certainties and uncertainties in these moments, but one of the certainties was that Guardian was going to keep her safe, the angels were going to be there for her to offer the small girl the family she never had. "Is it really okay that I stay here with you?" she whispers, her words to Guardian but there is silent question to Achilles who seems to be the one in charge and the one with the real say. She loved Shiloh and Taviora more than anything in the world, but it wasn't home anymore, there was nothing left there but sadness and loneliness. She needed a fresh start, and she was going to get it in Diveen, with Guardian by her side.
