'Tis a Gift to be Simple

It sounded a bit risky, splitting up in a strange land to look for things to join a group of illegals. But she did not see a better option, and sighed. The settlements along the shore seemed smaller, and possibly more laid back. Unlike the large throng of fairies surrounding around the castle, or here at the market. Not that people were always a bad thing: they made good cover, someone else to blame if things went missing or went wrong. Since they only had the clothes on their backs, it seemed they might be doing some scavenging of the type people were not always fond of. They could fix up an old boat, if they found one abandoned without too many holes, but they would still need materials and supplies to survive.

"Alright, sounds like a plan. But we should stay away from the Castle. There's guards up there!" She gives a small shiver. She is not sure what policies are here, but being hung publicly is not on her list of things to accomplish before twenty. "Leave the food to me, but stealing a dinghy we might need to do together. It seems a bit big to be hauling by oneselves." She is not sure she has much else to add to this plot. She doubts she will talk to many people, unless they catch her, and then it will be mostly them talking and her running. But Bri is pretty sure elelven days will give them more than enough time to gather all they need.

She was not sure they would need a compass. The north star was useful at night, and at least until they had a band they should try and remain unnoticed. But she did not argue it. "'Leven days" she reiterates as she rises, then slinks off into the crowd to complete her tasks. She is not worried about Aespe, as they can both fend for themselves, though she will miss her constant coompany, and the ease of talking, as if with another half. She heads toward the salted jerkies and fish for long term provisions rather than the pastries that provided the meal this morning, also keeping an eye out for metalworkers or ship captains that might be caught unaware by a pickpocket and happen to have a compass on their posession. Shamans laws held true as for the other world she had been on: people don't notice that which is beneath them. She smiles at arrogance, as if they are untouchable, while pulling their posessions to her own pockets.
