">Saturday, I made a really stupid misteak.. A hummingbird came to the front window three times and looked in after sampling the flowers... In a moment of insanity, I mixed up about 1/8 cup of red syurip and taped a small Tupperware container of it to the middle of the window (Outside, of course) and waited for the bird to come back.. He/She never did... But the bees did! About a thousand of them on Sunday.. They were swimming in it and crawling all over the container (and the window)...
Just about dark, The lovely and gracious Margie fell in the bathroom and cut her scalp. I called 911 and the medics came.. I had to warn them to shut the door and not let the bees in...
Anyhoo, after taking her to the hospital for stitches (actually staples), we arrived home about midnight.. I put her to bed and saw the bees were gone... all that was left in the Tupperware was about a teaspoon of dry, white, sugar...
After cleaning the window, there still are about a dozen persistant bees still buzzing around the window looking for more...Anyhoo, it was a bad idea I'm not likely to repeat....
SO! here is my latest--- A Golden Butter Dahlia bigger than my handspread..
