Four pups around the same age as Halcyon burst from the trees and skidded to a halt in front of him. They all looked to be happy to see him, if not a bit curious as to what his intentions were. Quietly, he listened to each of them as they introduced themselves. Three boys and a girl, all siblings. It seemed Kalseru was the leader of this little band as she was the first to speak. After the others said their names, the russet boy nodded his head. ”Greetings, Kalseru, Rhaegal, Viserion, and… Drogon. My name is Halcyon, son of Iblis and Rhea, once prince of Asteraia.” He felt the need to give a formal introduction and did so exactly as his father had taught him. A barrage of questions came flying at him and he did his best to answer them. ”I have been living in Diveen for a few weeks now but it is not my home. I am a loner. As to why I am here, I heard that many of my parents followers came here when our land was attacked and I was hoping to see if my family had escaped here too.”

Of course, he didn’t say what he would do should some of his siblings or even his parents be here. But he would wait to cross that bridge. For now he waited as patiently as a child could for his companions to sort through what he had said. All the while time passed and a deep growl echoed from within his belly. He winced and hoped they hadn’t heard him. Halcyon was too proud to ask for food when he could try to catch it himself. The last thing he wanted was for these wolves to take pity on him and bring him a free meal. So he sat waiting, pretending nothing had happened and watching the pups before him.
