News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

With Tithe's help, the process of returning to Spirane with the carcass of the deer in tow was far easier than it would have been alone. The two males did not move quickly, for despite what they had each eaten of the doe there was still much of her left for the pack. They were about three quarters of the distance from the woodlands back to Spirane when the victorious howl rang out across Moladion, summoning the mountain pack to a celebratory gathering. A smile curved Sleekwing's maw around the grasp he held on a haunch, dragging the prey along. Glancing over the doe's body he motioned with his eyes that it was time for another brief break, and he released his grasp and jubilantly threw his head to the skies and let out a single, short bark of joy. His tail waved out behind him, ever the proud elder brother of the Queen of the mountain. Looking back to Tithe, Sleekwing probably looked as though h could be as young as his companion with the youthful glee that graced his features. "My sister faced a challenger for our home at midday," he explained. "I knew she would be victorious!" Before they had set out Tithe had said he would not bother the pack long, and Sleekwing felt the need to address that statement now. "Spirane is the largest pack in Moladion, many of the wolves will gather to commend Daenerys' efforts to defend the pack. Your hunting skills will be much appreciated and you will be welcome to stay as long as you want - or go when you like, if that is your wish." With a dip of his head, as if confirming what he said to be true, he then moved to grasp onto the doe's haunch once more.

It took them a fair bit longer to reach the gathering midway up the mountain, and as they came closer the sounds of a large gathering of wolves could be heard. Sleekwing did not want Tithe to feel pressured to join in on the festivities, and as they reached the edge of the clearing he looked to his companion to ensure that he still wanted to continue on with him. The Castellan would not think any less of the wolf if he did not want to join in on the celebrations of a pack he was not part of. Then again, perhaps he would enjoy the company. He seemed to be the stuff that pack wolves were made of, but Sleekwing would never pressure him into joining the mountain pack. That was a choice every wolf had to make for themselves.

Finally they broke the edge of the clearing, coming in from the side. Cobalt blue eyes rimmed in lavender skimmed over the crowd at a glance, noticing that a large proportion of the pack had already arrived. But he would wait to make his greetings to the pack until he had congratulated Daenerys and presented her with the spoils of his and Tithe's hunt. Dragging the doe the last few feet to the rock that typically served as his sister's throne, he released his grip and allowed it to lay in the grass before Daenerys, Jericho, and Pan. He glanced to his side to see if Tithe had approached as well, for his partner in this hunt would surely be received well by the victorious Protector of the Realm. Moving forward, he nodded to Pan and Jericho in turn before pressing his nose into the uninjured side of Daenerys' neck. Withdrawing, he smiled while looking over the leg tucked to her chest. "Well done, Daenerys. Alcide would be proud of you, as would MoonGlow." His smile softened slightly, thinking about all the things their parents had taught them over the years. Stepping back he pivoted slightly to allow a clear line of vision to the larger, albeit younger, wolf that accompanied him. "Daenerys, I would like to introduce you to Tithe; he assisted me in bringing down this doe and returning it to the pack lands." He would, of course, allow his companion to speak for himself then, as he pivoted once more to get a better look at the group that had formed.

His eyes roamed over the familiar faces, alighting upon Ailith and her children with a smile. Cadwan had begun training with him, and the boy showed real potential. He grinned at his nephews and niece who were settled not far off, seeming to have gathered quite the collection of friends. No surprise there, they were quite the charismatic group. Everlyse and Reich were present with their children, as well as Church and Ragnarok. And of course Taliesin, though his attentions seemed rather focused on their younger sister, Haven, and the gangly male that kept her company. Looking back to Daenerys he lifted a single brow, realizing he must have been out of the loop on something in that regard. Once Tithe had said whatever he may have desired to, Sleekwing moved off towards the edge of the gathering, offering Tithe the chance to go if he wished it, or stay without being completely thrown into the deep end with the pack. Circling around, Sleekwing reclined onto his hindquarters, tail brushing through the grass to rest near his paws. A content sigh slipped through his lips, glad to know that things would remain just as he liked them - safe.
