Somehow, she had expected winter to bring her mother or father back. Yet, the more the snow fell, the more she realized that their return had likely become little more than an offhanded wish. After all, if her father's protectiveness could not bring him back then she doubted much else could. He had so little left, after all. She had not seen her mother in years and her siblings were just as absent - of course, some of that was partially her fault. She hadn't left Glorall in so long. Perhaps, she would request an assignment to Iromar to see her younger siblings. That'd be a start, at least. Besides, it'd benefit the pack and surprisingly, she had started to care more and more about that. If she was going to stay, which she had decided some time ago, then she'd do her best to make it somewhere that felt like home. Eden had sought her out, which had initially come as a surprise. He had a job for her, though, and it was one that put to us her past, at least. It made her proud - after all, she had been given the task of greeting and welcoming a potential new recruit that he had scouted at the borders of Glorall. He had other matters to tend to, he had said, a sort of gathering. She knew, of course, that it had been Heyel's funeral. She had been half tempted to go and yet, she could not prepare herself for that level of grief yet. If she let herself bask in it too long, she might begin to feel things she had been putting off. Besides, she couldn't help but grin to herself at the prospect of finally having some kind of objective. A job! A purpose! A chance to feel a little more like a princess for once. Without hesitation, she had taken towards the borders. It took her several minutes before she found the dark figure that rested by the invisible boundary - they were similar in a way, at least. Both held darkness and blood in their fur and yet, she couldn't help but narrow her eyes suspiciously at the vaguely familiar scent. She had noticed it some days ago within the inner folds of the territory; it had been mingled in with Solitaire's own. She had no doubt it had been found by Eden, too, and perhaps that had been why she had been sent: a test of sorts, she supposed. Or, perhaps he had not found it yet, in which case, she felt tense for a moment. If that were the case, then this female would likely be punished for trespassing. She instinctively sucked in a breath of uncertainty as she settled in front of the stranger. "You've already been in the territory, haven't you?" She had no room for pleasantries at this point - she had to get the story straight so she could decide her own next move. Would she let Eden know about the trespasser or, perhaps, cover her somehow? She could easily say she had met the wolf some days ago and had showed her the pack. It'd make sense. Still, she wanted to ascertain that this female would even be... well, good enough to cover.
