Feel free to edit at will, and add Shaman-specific history if you want. I kind of like the idea of Dolphin Lagoon being a volcanic island. ^___^ Shaman needs a volcano.

Visible to the West of Apeliotes Caves, is a small volcanic island known throughout Shaman as Dolphin Lagoon. The basalt volcano stretches high into the sky with steep, almost unclimbable slopes. The volcano has not erupted in recorded history. The rest of the island is rocky beach surrounding a thick jungle of tall fruit trees, palms and leafy green ferns. There is very little wildlife on the island, aside from a few species of birds and insects. Where the tips of the crescent should meet to make the island whole, a clear blue saltwater lagoon has formed. This feature is what gives Dolphin Lagoon it's name. A family of dolphins seasonally makes their home in and around these waters during the Winter. The island used to be a popular attraction for the residents of Shaman until outcast pirates built a settlement near the Lagoon. Dolphin Lagoon has been under pirate control ever since.
