This is my Fate.
Winter was back and it was just as terrible as ever. Smells everywhere, the crunching of snow constantly in his ears. He barely liked to leave his den during these times often prone to losing his way with the scents being lost under the snow. It was frustrating the only time of the year where he truly felt weak and unable to handle his own. Feeding himself was almost impossible in winter he had to find scraps ususally or an already injured down creature who’s blood lured him in so that he may finish them off. He was thinking as well it was time that he went on another mission. During his worst year it may not be the best of times but he wanted to climb higher. Eden was… interesting. Haziel couldn’t put his paw on it but there was something that caught his attention. It wasn’t even that Haziel completely even trusted the male just yet, but he wanted to just learn more. All packs had potential to be allies Eden just had to give the word and he would be off.
He was feeling the fever today, however, and caught his black paws daring to start wandering the pack even with the snow. His ears folded against his head annoyed with each of his already near silent footsteps. For his size he was still graceful and his large furred paws almost made him silent to normal ears. To him he was making a racket he wouldn’t be able to tell how someone wouldn’t hear him coming. He pressed onwards though, finding his way to what was likely one of the few places that he wouldn’t lose his way to no matter the weather and that was because of a different feeling completely. His imprint bond, he felt, was fairly strong towards the younger girl he had met at Eden’s first pack meeting. Perhaps she was the sole reason he hadn’t gone back to Diveen or re-joined Asteraia just for curiosities sake. He liked the girl. She was quite, kind, and held a determination that he found admirable, and no it wasn’t his imprint bond talking. He likely would have liked her without even the bond. She accepted him and his blindness and constantly didn’t feel worthy of the attachment they had.
Slowly he was getting used to sharing his soul. He found peace in it on days where he was frustrated, much like today. He was upon her den shortly. He could smell the random scents of game about, fresh and old that she had taken down. He had lost weight, but he was simply too proud to ask anyone for help hunting even if it was his soul. He had some pride after all even if he taken to eating scraps no one had to see or know what he was doing.
“Alcmene.” He knew she was around, he could hear her breaths and her scent was quite strong in the area even with it being her den. He just wanted some company today, there was a lot going on and a lot of it he hardly wanted a part of. Today was just a day for him to bring himself back down to earth and relax with the other half of his soul.
