She is given time to study his features, to know his scent and the insanity that lay deep within his eyes. She knew she had to dissect him and his purpose. She had to understand his reasoning. She knew she was too lanky and delicate to escape the situation without major issue. She knew she had to think her way out of the situation- and it may take some time to do so. It was an irritating notion, but she had little choice now as her rainbows stare with narrowed slits.
The multi-colored girl of browns, blacks, golds, and reds had to give her attention over to the male as he began to speak. His words may come in a manner smooth and calm, but they were still cold as rock in winter. This...Shade, she wondered if he was just a child stuck in a fantasy. Yet, she knew things were not always as they seemed. Mother saw colors in the sounds of the world, sometimes even tastes them. Paravana did not experience such things, but Emil did. Thus, she knew things were obvious to others and shielded to another.
His words however, do not make much sense. Her darkened eyes look at him as he speaks, attempt to decipher the meaning of what he says. Spiritual beings into this world that are weak, or something, and this...Shade wanting to restore it to when...everyone was strong? Her brows furrowed, a hint of light reflecting off the golden smudges on her head. It did not make much sense, and she was silent for a moment with only the pitter patter of rain quietly filling her ears.
It was hard to decide what to do. Does she play along? If she pleases him, will he turn his back and she could escape? Or if she is unwilling, would he give up and let her go? She had wished she got some training in the assassin ways before this moment, perhaps she would know more on what would be the best course of action.
She decides to go the path of attempting to listen and please him, that perhaps he will trust her when he sleeps and she cane escape quickly into the night. She crosses her dark paws, a pleasing look creeping onto her naturally beautiful visage- a perfect blend of all the genetics of her line.
"Are you saying this world is sick? And such a sickness will spread if not taken care of?" she inquires, hoping she was hitting the nail on the head, even somewhat or half way. She figured this is what he is getting at, there are some weaker, like a sickness that spreads and brings all down. She knew to avoid those that exhibit cough or excessive drooling. Foaming at the mouth she was told was almost a death sentence that could spread to others. Sickness was a mysterious thing, and she was once taken by a harsh sickness in her youth. It was a horrible experience. Her legs would not work and her body felt aflame. She was strong enough to survive it, but that was just one of many diseases and sickness that linger in the world. She had seen it upon prey and briefly upon wolf. What is it that Underidge and the... Shade had it in mind? She hoped he would bring some clarity to the situation, so perhaps she can better leverage herself on his good side. |
