Well I am back on Kansas flat lands again
It rained here all night and we are under flood warnings, but we made it home before all that nonsense started. I am in an elevated area so no worries for me.

About the cruise: we had an amazing time this round and I did two things that I would normally never ever do because of my fear of heights.

Tuesday we ported at Cozumel which I have been too four other times so not really a big deal. But the rest of my family hadn't been. We took a speed boat out to a beautiful beach for an all inclusive day at a the beach. Was lots of fun in the sun- no rain this time. The only snag was the boat broke down and we had to be taken back late to the ship by catamaran. But, we did get a partial refund from the tour company.

Wednesday we were in Belize. We took an air conditioned tour bus (2 hour ride each way) to Mayan Ruins - Xuntatinch- or something like that. It was an amazingly beautiful area that sits 2 miles from Guatemala. They let you climb the main pyramid to the top. You get to the top by climbing many very steep stairs up the front, then you go out on a ledge- also very high up- around the side and up more very steep steps. You repeat the ledge, steep steps routine about three times until you reach the top where you can see for miles around you. It was a once in a lifetime view, and I will not forget it. Being afraid of heights I almost crawled up the stairs hanging on to the one in front of me every step...lol. Never ever looking down when on the ledge also helped me make it. It rained for a few minutes, but we were so hot and sweaty we were happy to have it... but it did make the steps a little slippery which scared me. The guide told us that when it rained on us while on the ruins we would be blessed by never aging anymore. I told her I wished it had happened a few years sooner.

Thursday: Mahogany Bay, Roatan (Honduras)
This was by far the most exciting and challenging excursion for me. My husband pushed me to go ziplining. We went up in to the very high area of Gumbalina Park where I ended up going on 9 ziplines. I was scared out of my mind, but pushed through. It was terrifying and exhilarating, and I am pretty sure I never took a breath on any line.
I did not use the brake until the end of each line because I wanted to get to the end as fast as possible.
Then we went through the park and got to interact with monkeys, parrots, and see many cool iguana's walking all around us. All in all it was a blast. The tropical heat of the area was different than any heat I have ever been in and I sweated more than I think I ever have.

Now the reality of unpacking and laundry is my adventure for today..lol
