Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

how long will we blame the devils on our shoulders
and pose like angels on the outside

His direct manner of speech is... appreciated, to say the least. I prefer not to engage in circular conversation when possible. So, I am sure to listen intently to each word he speaks, offering him a nod of acknowledgement as I ponder what he has says. Of course, his mention of rather... unorthodox methods captivates me, a brow rising up in curiosity for a moment. I have often pondered the alternative uses of the world around us, after all. Are there not plants that make children ill? What of those? Still, perhaps he means otherwise. It is too forward to jump to such a conclusion and yet, one can only hope that such a wolf might come to Glorall. There is a curiosity that must be satiated.

"I know this name - Meryl. He is esteemed. You are his student, then? As for your... unusual methods? That is a most curious claim."

I eye him with a keen interest for a moment as I settle into my position, allowing myself those brief moments of relaxation. His presence is an easy one. Of all things, that is something healers have in common. There is a certain intelligence to him, though, one I continue to observe as he speaks of Diveen. He is smart, perhaps, in a sense that he answers these questions long before I need to speak them. It is a torrent of valuable information for me to consider, and that I do.

"We are a small pack, you see, and so of course we have much use for you. As for you... what do you wish to see from I - from Glorall?"

I ask him evenly, my voice perhaps a little more curious than before but... even, nonetheless. I do desire him now that I am aware of his position, not only in his training but also with his family. He is related by blood and yet, he seems capable of breaking away from family ties. It is that kind of wolf that we need here: educated, strong, capable. Still, what is it that he desires? I settle once more, though perhaps the inkling of a grin touches the side of my lip. It is... a sensitive thing, perhaps.

"Our current healer is Solitaire. He is, however, quite unusual of late. Perhaps it will be beneficial for you to observe him. Perhaps his sudden unusual behavior is a sickness in itself."

From what I understand, however, it is not. It is merely an unwellness of the mind. If this wolf sees it, then he will know how soon a position as Glorall's lead healer may open up.
