Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Dead memories of a Legend
Chapter IV Armaggedon

I like to call myself realistic. My jaws had stained the ground with their blood and I am sure the pack won’t leave me unpunished. I would not do it myself. Right about now I really came to the conclusion that I’ve told this wolf too much, but the thing is. Why? He was too curious for a small wild one. What was this information worth for him? Some young wolves actually are pretty curious, but as a loner we tend to be more careful. So I decide to tell him the half truth. I’ve already told him so much that it would be strange if I changed.

He asked me why would I want to leave a trace and I already told him. He just looked back and seemed in disbelief. Of course there were no wolf behind me, or I would be dead already.

- Not right now… - I sighed - The fox. His old family name… He is an angel in Diveen. He lost his father a long time ago before being able to meet him and I am the only bridge between his past and himself. From the little I have seen he’s got some influence in that pack and will not let me be killed before he can get some answers. If he is anything like his dad at all, he will come after me alone and that… Will be his last mistake. Got it?

I simply let it all out, as someone explains to a little stubborn pup how to hunt.

- Fox and Vague are their names. The two wolves who ruined my life. So now I am taking theirs, one by one.

I assured. Everything needed to be clear, I don’t want to be known as the crazy wolf they called me. Because everything I am doing is for a reason and I am not wrong. When I asked him who they took from him he just told me. Quick as that. His brother. Then he proceeded to explain. It is a small and simple story, like mine. I nodded to him in understanding. With his last question, a small smile tugged on my lips.

- Because I am the thunder who is shaking their lands. And before they know it I am going to strike their ground and any wolf who has seen a storm in their life knows what a thunder can do. Only problem is… They haven’t seen the storm yet.

These words I spoke in such pleasure that they came naturally. They came out in such poetic way. But enough. This little curious wolf is not useful for me. But at least he was worth some amusement.

- I should be going… It's a long walk to the rocks. You’ll hear my name around. You will.

I turned away and started walking away, towards the crags. It should take some time for me to get to the rocky place. It was where I currently resided in. But it wouldn't be for too long, no...

Look at the sky. When you see the clouds blocking the light all hope will be gone and when you hear my howl it will be too late.
