Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

With a broken wing she carries her dreams...

Lailah was perfection personified. She was the beautiful combination of both of her parents. Once she was full grown, Lailah would gain muscle from her mother that would give her body feminine curves. She would have a punch to her that rivaled Everlyse's. Unlike her mother though, she would gain height from her father to lean her muscle out and distribute it equally and proportionately. Speed and endurance would also come from her father, allowing her to run fast and far. Agility is something she would acquire on her own due in part to traits from both Reich and Everlyse. The small, white angel was an all rounder by every sense of the word, excelling in every field. On top of her build, she was also quite beautiful, even if she would never see it herself. The purest of whites adorned her body, like that of angel's wings. Her limbs and tail were dipped in the black of shadows; it even streaked down her eyes and muzzle and on the ridge of her ears. The most striking feature about her, besides her mixed colored eyes, was the black wings on her side, her name sake. She truly was a night angel.

Her ears prick at the sound of her name on his lips. "Lailah," he says, "That's a pretty name." She offers him a small smile, the feint hint of a blush upon her cheeks hearing him say that. Silence falls upon the two pups for but a moment but it is not uncomfortable, the warmth of the den making the silence almost lull the little girl to sleep. But she doesn't, instead she speaks again, her words so hushed it would not be heard outside of the den: a thank you. ”You don’t have to thank me. I did what anyone would have done.” he reassures her but she has seen enough of the world from the shadows to know what he says is false, not all would have helped her, some would have let her die. The world was a terrible cruel place, but its beauty was what made it worth living in.

She asks him why he is alone because she has grown concerned for her new friend. It wasn't normal for her to be alone like she was so young, but it was even stranger for him to be living alone at only a year older than her. Halcyon is silent in thought for a moment, and Lailah frowns in silent worry as she waits patiently for him to start speaking if he was willing to tell her. ”My parents once ruled over their own pack. I don’t remember much but I do remember seeing how happy everyone was there. I was a prince, the youngest of all my siblings. But that didn’t last long. The pack was attacked and my parents were defeated. All the wolves ran from the land and I was separated from my family. Some ran to your home in Spirane. I only just learned that my mother died from her wounds and my father died from the imprint bound he shared with her. So, I guess to put a long story short, I’m alone because I have nowhere to go. “ he says, eyes lingering on the falling snow outside. His voice does not hint to any sadness but she does not have to hear it to know he is sad an angry about what had happened. Her ears flattened back in sadness as she simply stared at him silently, her eyes holding no pity for that was something no one wanted, but rather holding the expression of the sadness he did not show. Lailah could only imagine what it would be like to lose her parents, the thought alone making her heart wrench.

The small, angel girl gently rests her forehead on him, trying to reassure him with touch, something Semele might do. She wanted to say she was sorry, but sorry could not bring back his home or his parents and they were not the words he would want to hear. "If you need a home, you can come back to Spirane with me. My family can be your new family, they're nice I promise......" she whispers, offering him a home so he no longer had to live in the free lands and family so he was never alone. Her parents would welcome him with open arms, Seleme and the others would treat him like a brother and play with him, he would have the pack by his side. It wasn't his original life but she was offering him the only thing she could. He may try to smile it off but she knew he couldn't live out here like this forever. The world would devour a little pup like him.

He quickly gets the conversation off of him, bringing it to her and her night adventure. ”What about you? What are you doing out here alone? Aren’t your parents worried about you?” She didn't really know how to explain her need to walk in the shadows to him, it was simply a calling passed down to her from her father. "I like to explore at night, it's quiet and there are less wolves out....." she whispers, her head having risen up and looking back at him. It was strange to see her holding such a strong conversation with another, especially someone outside of her family. "My mommy gets really upset, my daddy gets really worried but he understands a little...." It was true, Reich didn't like his daughter wandering out into danger, but he couldn't deny that he understand her desire to wander. For not all who wander are lost, and Lailah was never lost.

There is silence, and for a moment it looks like Lailah might fall asleep, but then a thought strikes her mind. The small girl had heard her mother talking to her father about their old alphas passing away. Lailah had known they lived in another pack before she was born, Semele told her stories about the plains before they had to leave. Was it possible it was the same place that Halycon was talking about? And that his parents were their alphas? "I think my parents came from your parents pack....." she whispers suddenly, looking over to him with a sudden realization. "My older sister Semele told me she lived there with our mom and her dad before he was killed and our mom became mates with my dad. Then the pack got taken over and they moved to Spirane where my siblings and I were born..." Its very unlikely that Halcyon knows her family, but it was worth a shot.
