It was clear in the very way that Achilles held himself that he was born for this. Born and raised as the sole heir to his parents, and a pupil of Trenus' former king as well, if royalty had not already flowed strongly in his blood the presence of such wolves in his upbringing would have quickly molded him. His lineage shone truly in the confidence he exuded, and I was reminded of his father as he stood before me with his quieter of nature mate. It did not take us long to move into the conversation of what information I had to bring them. I hope that with time and through whatever ways I might be able to help them we can get to know one another better. Isola and I had both been born to the plateaus of Trenus, and for many years I had worked my way steadily up within the ranks of her pack. Achilles and Vega were five years my juniors, but age was only a number. Isola had been only five when she had come into power upon the renewed soil of Diveen, and I a mere four years old when first I'd joined her pack. Back then, she'd had Yojimbo to assist and advise her. I hoped that I could provide such help to Achilles and Vega.

With each piece of information that I presented to them, Achilles and Vega remained attentive, interested in what I had to say. For the most part it was rather basic information, but they seemed appreciative of it nevertheless. When I told him of the good tidings from Spirane and Taviora Achilles was pleased, and the movement of Vega's tail was evidence enough of her shared opinion in this. The conversation shifted then and I spoke of Aithne and the marked alpha of Asteraia. It was interesting to speak in a positive way about Iromar these days, but the pack had made consistent steps towards a new frontier under Aithne's guidance. They were a different pack now than they were back when I had fought side by side with Isola, Kane, Azrael, and the rest of our pack to beat back the imminent threat of Ishtar's demons. The war was history now, something put behind us as we stepped forward into this new age where Iromar and Diveen may actually someday see a true alliance - and someday soon. Achilles confirmed that he would make plans to meet with Aithne soon, and I nodded in acknowledgement.

When I spoke of Asteraia, Vega's slight shift in demeanor did not go unnoticed. She was attentive to each detail that I spoke, her ears pulling back and her eyes growing wide. It was clear that she felt less sure about these tidings than the others that I'd brought. Achilles asked me to go forth and invite the nameless alphess to come to Diveen for a meeting, and I nod in confirmation that I would do such a thing for him. The round trip trek to Asteraia and back was not so far and could be made easily in a day. It was less a burden and more an opportunity to stretch my legs once more. My gaze focused on Vega as she expressed her concerns about bringing this shewolf to our home, for would not Tobias accompany her? I nodded at her words, for her worries are justly founded, and are actually the reasoning for my thinking it best they come here rather than us going to them. "I believe you are right, Vega, that Tobias will come with her. But I think that it is better to have him here, where Angel eyes can keep a close watch on him and the proceedings of your meeting rather than the eyes of wolves we are unsure we can trust lingering upon your backs within Asteraia." These words were not meant to frighten her, only to caution her to the reasons that it was perhaps best, in this case, for these matters to be handled on Diveen soil.

Lastly we spoke of Glorall, and their leader Eden. He seemed a peculiar wolf, though I could not be certain what it was entirely about him that made me feel that way. Achilles seemed to understand what I meant by my impression of him, though, and I nodded in agreement at his decision to meet first with Eden. For the most part these matters have been rather simple to discuss, for none of the alphas that I spoke with had given me any inkling as to what terms they might desire in an alliance with Diveen. It was vastly evident to me that Moladion's rulers as a whole seemed very receptive to Achilles' leadership, and only time and the meetings to come would tell what packs would find themselves aligned with Diveen once more. Achilles spoke then that while my hard work was appreciated, that he would not yet award me with the rank I sought. I nodded my head in understanding. "It is, of course. After all, you must first test the advice and information I have given you before you can know if it is...satisfactory." I said this with a smile, pleased at how well the meeting had gone. For a long time my life's goal had been to protect and serve my pack, to take up a stead similar to that of which my father Acheron had under Heyel's rule. But it would seem that Moth's influence on my shone through, for while I still lived to serve my pack and alphas, an element of caretaking had wedged its way into my path in the form of a desire to advise and help wherever I could.

It was then that Vega spoke to me, and amber eyes settled upon her unique and beautiful face. There was kindness in her eyes and laced through her words, and it was clear to me then more than ever that Isola had had a great influence upon her. The softest of smiles traced my lips, my head dipping in recognition of her words. "Thank you, Vega. Diveen is lucky to have you as their Queen." For I believed, truly, with all my heart, that she would make a benevolent and kind leader, so similar to the sweetest parts of her predecessor.
