PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Dreams of StarDust

They ran through the foothills of the Peak, the wind creating the only sound in her ears. Taika thought about Skoll’s ideas about where her father came from, or how she came to exist. It never occurred to her that she needed a father, or that something might be missing in her because of it. Nor had it occurred to her that her mother had to keep it a secret. As much as Taika felt like she did play in the field of faeries and magic, she was sure that her mother held a sort of disbelief in such things. Or at least did not know how to feel about it. Every time they had come across a new face with a different experience in life, or a different belief, Taytim encouraged her daughter to think about what she had learned. It had left the girl with a wide and wild mind, but also a sense of ignorance about the more mundane, such as safety and stallions.

It was possible that her mother had been keeping these secrets from her for all this time. The mare had made a point to answer each of her daughter’s questions to the best of her ability, but at times never come forward with more information than what was absolutely necessary. This was obviously a mystery to be solved later. For now, the mystery on their table was the cave.

The foal’s tail quivered in what would be a future flick and she pranced into the dark unknown, confident that the colt would follow her. After all, he had come so far already! She poked around in each of the nooks and crannies, never bothering to actually inhale to see if there was anything around, sticking her nose into things her mother would have told her she shouldn’t. Small hooves clipped hollowly in the cave’s depths as she led them deeper, foolishly, into the dark.

Do you think any of your goblins could have come in here?
