His host introduced herself. Respectfully, he nodded a silent greeting to her, keeping his eyes downcast to someone who obviously outranked him. ”M’Lady. My name is Tithe.” He answered, not matching her short and blunt introduction, but still giving into the courtesies he felt she would have been due.

She explained to him why she had brought him there and his curiosity was piqued. Gaze travelled up her and took in everything he could about what was going on in their meeting. She was tense, cautious, almost as if she were scared of prying eyes and sneaking spies. Tithe thought about the wolves he had met since he had come to this land. Sleekwing had been a member of this pack, they had hunted in the woods. Taika and her...boy...would be of no interest to this woman. If they were, Tithe swore to himself to make it so there would then be no interest. His mind fell at last to the first beast he had encountered upon arrival.

He could have elaborated, but he did not know the motivations of the woman before him. Simply that she was just as cautious and guarded as he was. For a moment, his solid defense broke down. To those paying attention he noticeably shifted in discomfort and uncertainty, the boyish innocence peeking through the visor. ”He and his Alpha want me to join their pack. He asked me to stay.”
