Not everything is as they appear. In no way was Tick Tock considered some wolf that was weak nor a wolf that was completely kind. She was a wolf of numerous flaws and she was not one that exposed them often. Why Fiammetta seemed so sure to deny herself the food that was offered to her, was understood, and yet it just showed Tick Tock that the defeated she-wolf could not – and would not learn. That was her fault, that was her flaw she so willingly exposed, and Tick Tock knew she could play with it. Though would she do so now that was a difficult question to answer. It was surprising to see Tobias’s mate act so aggressively to a wolf that had been lying in front of her. Why she would do such a thing was answered by Fiammetta and for a moment her dark sapphire eyes narrowed as they shifted towards the prisoner. That she would attack another wolf, believing it was her, was quite troubling. To think that another wolf had to suffer all because Fiammetta couldn’t pinpoint her target correctly was a terrible thing. Smoothly her cold voice slipped out imperturbably as she continued to lean her weight into Flare – forcing her calmness to radiate and flow into Flare’s body.
“She does not speak and so I will not know who you attacked, but you will always have to live with the fact you attacked an innocent creature that didn’t deserve your fangs.”
As to why Flare would protect another wolf from Fiammetta was quite intriguing, a puzzle she didn’t have many clues to even attempting to solve it, and yet she was still curious. Her attention was not on Fiammetta anymore. Turning her head around to see Flare still angered. She noticed how her tongue would lick her nose and how her lips twitched and she would gently press her muzzle into Flare’s neck and lick the side in a tender manner. She did not want her own to attack Fiammetta. Believe it or not Tick Tock was not as cruel as some believed her to be. It was when Flare broke away and began to circle around the prisoner did Tick Tock raise her head with a soft growl of warning to Flare. She could be close to Fiammetta, but she would not tolerate an attack unless necessary. With one rough bark she would vocalize her command for Flare to return to her side, preferring the girl’s closeness to her own, her ability to trust Fiammetta to not attack Flare was not there. She would point her head towards the one red-eyed wolf and nonchalantly explain the girl’s failure to her.
“You allowed your emotions to control you...that’s what failed you the first time we met.”
