Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

IT'S TRUE, WE'RE ALL A LITTLE MAD;;

It's true... We're all a little mad...

I watch the blood and nastiness wash down the smooth running river, my head hurting beyond belief, though my eye socket was feeling a bit better. My ears catch the sound of movement, and I turn to the left and crane my neck to see completely behind me. The open sore of my right eye giving more to the insanity that seemed determined to enter the world through scars. A queen meant to be was never satisfied if her crown had been stolen, but I have the gears turning in my porcelain dome. I took in the odd familiar sensation I had about him, remembering him from the crags so many years ago. He had watched me poking at a dead body, and I find a smirk cross ever so slightly on my dark red lips. I am stained with the dark crimson of aged blood on my pelt, I lost a lot of that vital fluid.

His words come after staring at me, my pale form surely like a ghost for the look in his eye, or maybe someone of worth. The curiosity is certainly there though it is not written on his handsomely chiseled face. Keeping the male's gaze, I half grin; lips pulling up to the gum on the left side of my face before quickly lowering so I may speak. "It hurts like hell, too. I will manage and survive." To the second part of his questions, I reply, "The forest guardian's fangs, I'm sure" Laughing softly, I sit, ignoring the protest of my sides. I reveal the wound upon my chest as I look him over with one jade orb.

I would not be challenging again, I am never going to be able to fend off so many in their droves that come at me. I see them gearing up for war, gathering forces as quickly as they can. Safety in numbers they say, well... The more the merrier. My lot tend to be hungry so I have to know where the buffet is. I am simply studying him, trying to understand how far away he actually is as my depth perception is completely obliterated. I am aware of his staring at the messy remains of the eye socket, I stay silent, let him study me as I do to him.
