Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

how long will we blame the devils on our shoulders
and pose like angels on the outside

I appreciate a wolf who is direct. She makes no effort to remain quiet and neither does she suddenly begin spraying words into the wind. When she speaks, it is direct and almost... curt. It makes me raise a brow ever so slightly, though I remain silent for some moments as I continue to gauge the situation. She does not present herself as a threat and so, I do not either.

"Perhaps."

I answer her after several short moments of silence, the words practically shrugged off my shoulders. I eye her once more before I scour the surrounding area once more, ever in search of the elusive male whose scent lingers upon her and the outer regions of the borders. An unusual series of visitors and yet, perhaps they do have earnest intentions.

"And for you - what can you help us with?"

It is customary, after all, for a pack to offer aid and for those it is offered to, to return the favor. We all must pull our weight. We must hunt or heal; fight or scout; raise the young or learn politics. To live is to not be cozy each and every day. Perhaps we are low in numbers and yet, that does not mean we have room for those that are unwilling to pull their weight.

Still, I try my best to appear... approachable, amiable even. After all, she is physically sound and I cannot help but be curious as to who exactly she is. She reminds me of Underidge. I wonder if it is only a physical resemblance. I step closer then, bridging the space between us somewhat and lifting my posture. A test almost to get a taste of her nerves. I do not like cowardice, after all. Her words may be confident but often, the mind can fail.
