Great Summer Weather Stretch IP: 184.108.40.206 Posted on August 29, 2015 at 09:48:55 AM by T
If you like summer like weather, you will love the next week and half to 2 weeks.
A large ridge of high pressure will be taking up residents across the eastern
half of the U.S. Showers over the upper Great Lakes are trying to push
east toward us. But the strong high and dryer air over us is causing
the rain to fall apart. We may have a couple of showers Sunday afternoon.
And then another shot of a few scattered showers on Monday.
But then we should be dry through much of next week. Temperatures will
be well into the mid 80's. Some showers possible on Thursday with a
front, which may keep our temperatures down a tad. But into the
Labor Day weekend we will be in the mid 80's to some places near 90 degrees.
This ridge is forecast to break down just after Labor Day. When the kids
go back to school, we should see some cooler air moving in. But we
may not be done with the hot weather. As it could return for the
middle of September. Replies: There have been no replies.
